About Us

Founded in 1999 and listed on NASDAQ in 2003 and HKEX in 2021, Trip.com Group is a leading global travel service provider comprising of Trip.com, Ctrip, Skyscanner, and Qunar.

Across its platforms, Trip.com Group integrates travel resources from industry partners and helps travellers worldwide pursue the perfect trip with exceptional travel products and services.

We have four Customer Service Centres for Trip.com established in Japan, Korea, the UK, and the Philippines, providing 24/7 customer service in 19 different languages.

We have more than 30,000 employees scattered across 30 countries in Asia, Europe, the Americas, and Oceania, striving to expand our global markets and aiming to be the world’s leading and most trusted family of online travel brands that aspire to deliver the perfect trip at the best price for every traveller.

We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our Product Design team in Amsterdam and help shape user-centered travel experiences for a global audience. You will own design initiatives end to end, from early discovery and user research through delivery, developer handoff, and iteration, while acting as a key regional partner to our Shanghai HQ.

You bring a strong understanding of European user expectations, design sensibilities, and accessibility standards, and you’re equally comfortable collaborating across time zones, cultures, and disciplines. Your work will directly influence product strategy, design systems, and customer outcomes at scale.

This role requires regular collaboration with our Shanghai-based team, including occasional travel to HQ.

Our Design Culture

We recently established our EU Design organisation, and this role will help shape its foundation and direction.

Our goal is to raise the bar for design excellence in Europe and strengthen brand perception by transforming Trip into a desirable, trusted, and enjoyable product that users genuinely like to use. Design at Trip is a strategic function, not just how the product looks, but how it works, feels, and earns user trust.

We believe great design is:

  • User-centered and insight-driven, grounded in research, data, and cultural understanding
  • End-to-end, with strong ownership from discovery through delivery
  • Collaborative, built in close partnership with product, engineering, and business teams
  • High-quality and intentional, balancing craft, speed, and impact

As part of the EU Design org, you'll contribute to defining our design principles, standards, and ways of working, while collaborating closely with global teams to deliver a cohesive and differentiated product experience.

In this Role, you’ll get to

End-to-End Product Design Ownership

  • Lead design projects from problem definition to UX/UI, prototyping, validation, and developer handoff
  • Translate business goals, user needs, and data into actionable design solutions
  • Conduct user research (interviews, testing, surveys) and synthesize insights into decisions
  • Create wireframes, high-fidelity UI, interactions, and prototypes balancing usability, aesthetics, and feasibility
  • Collaborate with engineers to ensure quality implementation and smooth handoff

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with PMs, Engineers, Data, Marketing, and regional stakeholders to shape product direction
  • Communicate design rationale using research, data, and user insights
  • Share progress, risks, and trade-offs to maintain alignment and timely delivery
  • Advocate for user-centered outcomes in complex or ambiguous contexts

Design System & Quality

  • Contribute to and maintain a scalable global design system
  • Uphold visual, interaction, and accessibility standards, particularly for European markets
  • Balance speed and craft in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality

What you'll Need to Succeed

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer working on large-scale, consumer-facing digital products
  • Proven experience owning end-to-end design processes, from discovery through delivery and iteration
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating: User-centered problem solving, business impact and outcomes (ideally supported by data or metrics), high-quality UX, UI, interaction, and visual design
  • Solid experience working in cross-functional, agile product teams
  • Strong communication skills: able to present design decisions clearly to designers, engineers, product leaders, and executives
  • High proficiency with Figma and other prototyping workflows
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity
