You will own design initiatives end to end, from early discovery and user research through delivery, developer handoff, and iteration, while acting as a key regional partner to our Shanghai HQ.\nYou bring a strong understanding of European user expectations, design sensibilities, and accessibility standards, and you’re equally comfortable collaborating across time zones, cultures, and disciplines. Your work will directly influence product strategy, design systems, and customer outcomes at scale.\nThis role requires regular collaboration with our Shanghai-based team, including occasional travel to HQ.\nOur Design Culture\nWe recently established our EU Design organisation, and this role will help shape its foundation and direction.\nOur goal is to raise the bar for design excellence in Europe and strengthen brand perception by transforming Trip into a desirable, trusted, and enjoyable product that users genuinely like to use. Design at Trip is a strategic function, not just how the product looks, but how it works, feels, and earns user trust.\nWe believe great design is:\nUser-centered and insight-driven, grounded in research, data, and cultural understanding\nEnd-to-end, with strong ownership from discovery through delivery\nCollaborative, built in close partnership with product, engineering, and business teams\nHigh-quality and intentional, balancing craft, speed, and impact\nAs part of the EU Design org, you'll contribute to defining our design principles, standards, and ways of working, while collaborating closely with global teams to deliver a cohesive and differentiated product experience.\nIn this Role, you’ll get to\nEnd-to-End Product Design Ownership\nLead design projects from problem definition to UX/UI, prototyping, validation, and developer handoff\nTranslate business goals, user needs, and data into actionable design solutions\nConduct user research (interviews, testing, surveys) and synthesize insights into decisions\nCreate wireframes, high-fidelity UI, interactions, and prototypes balancing usability, aesthetics, and feasibility\nCollaborate with engineers to ensure quality implementation and smooth handoff\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nPartner with PMs, Engineers, Data, Marketing, and regional stakeholders to shape product direction\nCommunicate design rationale using research, data, and user insights\nShare progress, risks, and trade-offs to maintain alignment and timely delivery\nAdvocate for user-centered outcomes in complex or ambiguous contexts\nDesign System & Quality\nContribute to and maintain a scalable global design system\nUphold visual, interaction, and accessibility standards, particularly for European markets\nBalance speed and craft in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality\nWhat you'll Need to Succeed\n5+ years of experience as a Product Designer working on large-scale, consumer-facing digital products\nProven experience owning end-to-end design processes, from discovery through delivery and iteration\nA strong portfolio demonstrating: User-centered problem solving, business impact and outcomes (ideally supported by data or metrics), high-quality UX, UI, interaction, and visual design\nSolid experience working in cross-functional, agile product teams\nStrong communication skills: able to present design decisions clearly to designers, engineers, product leaders, and executives\nHigh proficiency with Figma and other prototyping workflows\nStrong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity\nWhy Trip.com Group\nWe offer a stage to unleash your full potential and drive global impact.
