In this position, you will partner closely with application teams to shape system architecture and ensure seamless execution. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to influence a major transformation to modernize and build principles and discipline into an established tech stack including both microservices and high-throughput, transactional systems, while contributing meaningfully to the long-term success of the organization.\nCore Technologies\nWe employ a wide variety of technologies here at TripleLift to accomplish our goals. While we are looking for strong engineers that are capable of learning any system, we will prioritize candidates who are already familiar with the some of the following technologies:\nInfrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, Terragrunt, ArgoCD, Helm, Kustomize\nObservability tooling: Grafana, OpenTelemetry, PagerDuty\nCluster services: Kubernetes, Nomad\nOther tools: Vault, Consul, Puppet, GitHub Actions\nDatabases: AeroSpike, RDS MySQL/Postgres\nData streaming: Kafka/RedPanda, Kafka Connect\nData processing: Spark, dbt, Databricks, Snowflake, Fivetran, AWS EMR\n1+ scripting language such as Python or bash\n1+ general purpose, compiled language such as Java, Scala, or Golang\nAmazon Web Services\nResponsibilities\nBuild tools that make every engineer more productive and enable self-service.\nDevelop a unified system for monitoring, logging and error handling.\nDesign and implement complex, distributed, scalable, and observable systems.\nDefine and implement golden paths and best practices for cloud infrastructure.\nLearn and teach others the intricacies of our tech stack.\nImprove our infrastructure and deployment processes.\nWork with each team to optimize their application performance.\nSearch for industry best practices and use them to drive our team forward.\nWork with application teams and vendors to optimize cloud costs.\nDevelop skills and approaches for introducing AI into the SDLC.\nProvide concrete feedback on human and AI contributions to our infrastructure codebases.\nRaise the quality and efficiency bar in the cloud team and across engineering.\nParticipate in an on-call rotation and remediate production issues for always-on, revenue-impacting systems.\nImprove monitoring and system resiliency to maximize reliability and minimize the need for human intervention.\nEducation & Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or comparable industry experience\n5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or developer in the past\nExcellent understanding of common data structures and algorithms\nUnderstanding of cloud technologies like EC2, RDS, S3\nEnjoys programming and automating repetitive work\nStrives for continued learning opportunities to build upon craft\nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail\nAbility to work quickly and independently with minimal oversight\nAbility to work under pressure and juggle multiple tasks\nAble and willing to serve in an on-call rotation for the systems they build\nDesire to accept feedback and constructive criticism\nStrong and demonstrable work ethic\nUS Jobs: The base salary range represents the low and high end of the TripleLift US salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of TripleLift’s total compensation package for employees.
