Summary\nWe are currently seeking a Plant Quality Engineer for our facility in Macomb, MI.\nDuties/Responsibilities\nDaily collaboration with cross-functional teams including operations, engineering, manufacturing, and inspection to ensure high quality product is delivered to our customers\nUnderstand and analyze complex problems and derive solutions\nEffectively communicate technical issues, solutions, ideas, and concepts to a diverse audience including Program Managers, Customers, and Executive Management\nDetermine material review board dispositions for product nonconformances\nUse data analytics for products/processes to investigate nonconformance history, identify trends, and drive action to reduce defects\nIdentify opportunities for quality improvements and remove non-value-added waste\nLead and participate in nonconformance investigations to analyze and determine root cause, define corrective actions, and ensure corrective action implementation is effective\nParticipate in program and quality assurance reviews\nTrack and report monthly quality performance metrics\nReview customer drawings and specifications and to fully understand requirement flow downs\nPrepare and review quality documentation including policies, procedures, processes, and First Articles to ensure compliance to internal and external requirements\nConduct internal audits of products, processes and procedures and act as a credible escort for internal and external auditors\nUnderstand the design intent, requirements, and specifications of our products as well as the manufacturing processes, process controls and failure modes\nProvide support in development and evaluation of product and process capability, process control plans, analysis of conditions, and process audits with the objective of improving process performance and capability.\nOther duties as assigned.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM)\n3+ years of relevant work experience in Aerospace manufacturing quality\nAS9100 Experience\nStrong problem-solving skills\nExperience with machined components\nExperience in reading machined product drawings\nProficiency in utilizing Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook\nExcellent oral and written communication skills\nAbility to work independently\nStrong interpersonal skills with ability to interface with an organization at all levels\nAbility to organize and prioritize multiple tasks\nDemonstrated work ethic\nStrong attention to detail\nAbility to take the initiative to become involved in activities to help resolve problems and make improvements\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM)\n3+ years of experience in a Quality Role in an Aerospace manufacturing environment\nGeometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Trained\nExperience with Dimensional Inspection Techniques\nLean or Six Sigma experience\nExperience with Advanced Quality Processes (PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, 8D, A3 Problem Solving)\nCompliance and Regulatory experience\nExperience facilitating effective Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)\nWorking knowledge of Material Review Board (MRB) standards, practices and Customer engagement.\nExperience with New Product Introduction and Program Start-up\nProven track record of understanding and managing First Article Inspection\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to remain seated for long periods of time while working on a computer or documentation, etc.\nMust have manual
