The ideal candidate will possess experience in the hazardous and non-hazardous waste industry. This role is onsite at our Casa Grande, AZ facility.\nResponsibilities: \nOversee day-to-day operations of hazardous waste operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness. The areas of oversight include,Fuels blending\nLab pack decommissioning/repackaging\nHazardous waste solids consolidation\nManagement of gas cylinders\nManagement of oxidizers and reactive waste materials\n\nAssist in developing and implementing operational strategies to optimize processes.\nLead, train, and mentor staff to foster a high-performance culture.\nEnsure all areas of oversight meet quality and regulatory standards\nWork alongside Plant Manager to implement quality control measures.\nWorks collaboratively with Environmental, Health and Safety personnel to develop and enforce safety protocols and procedures to protect employees and the environment.\nMonitor and manage inventory levels of incoming and outgoing hazardous waste materials.\nEvaluates and enhances existing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact.\nEstablish relationships with downstream kilns\nEstablish relationships with rail operators\nOversee rail related logistics activities.\nEnsure all operations are follow permitted activities are in full compliance with regulations and standard operating procedures\nRecommend hires and retain employees.\nRegularly analyze and assess industry and market trends.\nBuild relationships with local and state agencies (fire dept., health dept., licensing bureaus, Department of Environmental Quality, etc.)\nDevelop technical expertise and knowledge of the company’s hazardous waste management programs\nShare recommendations with the plant manager for new products, services and identified areas of optimization.\nRotating on-call responsibilities as part of our Emergency Response team \nBasic Requirements:\nStrong communication skills with the ability to build, lead teams, provide direction to staff along with regular reporting to senior management. \n5-10+ years’ experience within the hazardous fuels operations industry.\nSpecific experience importing/exporting hazardous fuels waste between the nations of Mexico and the United States.\nProven experience in a managerial role with strong leadership and team building skills\nIn depth knowledge of safety regulations and quality control processes\nPossess strategic, rail transportation, planning, warehousing and rail logistics, problem analysis, and creativity skills.\nBilingual in English & Spanish preferred\nExpertise in all MS suite applications with strong Excel skills.\nExcellent math skills.\nEducation: Bachelors and/or Master’s degree preferred.\n40-hour OSHA Hazwoper Certification w/ current 8-hr refresher\nD.O.T. Hazardous Materials Training\nAble to obtain and maintain a fork truck license\nPersonality conducive to teamwork\nMust be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship \nMust have a reliable form of transportation \nMust be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC) \nUpon employment, you will be required to participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) as part of our company’s commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment \nMust be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis \nMust be willing to work flexible hours within the work week (Monday through Friday) \nMust be able to report to designated office within 1 hour during Emergency Response rotating shifts \nThis person will frequently handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste and is responsible for putting on and taking off personal protective equipment.
