Reporting to the Response Operations Manager, this role provides hands-on experience while developing response skills, safety awareness, and knowledge of environmental regulations and company procedures.\nTriumvirate Environmental provides leading organizations in higher education, life sciences, healthcare, and advanced manufacturing with environmental services and compliance expertise. Our culture emphasizes growth, development, education, creativity, and a commitment to WOW our employees and customers.\nThis role is onsite and is based out of our Northampton, PA office location.\nResponsibilities: \nRespond to emergency spills and environmental cleanup projects as assigned, including 24/7/365 response coverage, nights, weekends, holidays, and other non-standard hours.\nAssist with spill containment, cleanup, decontamination, environmental remediation, and hazardous and non-hazardous waste handling.\nSet up, operate, and break down response equipment, including pumps, hoses, absorbents, containers, and tools.\nOperate hand, power, and cutting tools as trained and authorized.\nLoad, unload, label, stage, and handle materials, containers, tools, and equipment.\nSupport drum and container management in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulations.\nWork safely in a variety of environments, including those involving chemicals, hazardous materials, confined spaces, and other challenging field conditions.\nInteract professionally with emergency services and regulatory agencies, as directed.\nComplete required field documentation, equipment inspections, and Daily Work Records.\nMaintain clean, organized, and safe work areas, vehicles, and equipment.\nFollow all safety policies, site requirements, and supervisor direction, and properly use required PPE.\nParticipate in required training and maintain applicable certifications.\nSupport Waste Management and Field Services departments as needed. \nBasic Requirements: \nWillingness and ability to participate in an on-call schedule and respond to emergencies outside of normal business hours.\nAbility to travel overnight as needed.\nAbility to perform physical labor and work outdoors in a variety of conditions.\nStrong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.\nAbility to follow direction while working independently and as part of a team.\nWorking knowledge of OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, RCRA, CAA, CWA, and other applicable environmental and safety regulations.\nBasic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and safety management systems.\nValid driver's license and reliable transportation.\nEligible to work in the United States without sponsorship or future sponsorship.\nMust have a reliable form of transportation \nMust be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC) \nUpon employment, you will be required to participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) as part of our company’s commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment \nMust be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis \nAbility to work overtime on a regular basis \nMust be willing to work flexible hours within the work week (Monday through Friday) \nMust be able to report to Northampton office within 1 hour during Emergency Response situations \nThe Response Technician frequently handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste and is responsible for putting on and taking off personal protective equipment.
