The Controls Engineer is also responsible for working with other Process Engineers on projects in a variety of areas around the plant.\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop electrical and controls system design solutions based on engineering principles and involvement in presentation of the solution to customer.\nEnsure all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed for all work completed.\nAnalyze project requirements and perform technical calculations supporting design including electrical requirements, robotic safety standards, and motor controls.\nCreate and finalize designs to meet project requirements.\nCreate accurate Bill of Materials.\nDefine equipment and parts from external suppliers.\nOversee project workflow and support internal and external resources to ensure timely delivery of projects, expected quality, and allotted budget.\nElectrical, software design of customized solutions including manufacturing automation and safety systems.\nTroubleshoot equipment failures that may include pneumatics, servos, vfd’s, relays, communication networks, touchscreens, push buttons and PLCs.\nCreate documentation such as user manuals, programming diagrams, network diagrams, and electrical drawings.\nMaintain accurate records and files according to quality standard.\nModify/create process instructions around the plant following the document control process.\nApply process improvements following the NSP, ECR and ECN systems.\nPerforms other duties of a similar nature or level.\nJob requirements:\nA Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Related work experience ).\nProficient with MS Office, Allen Bradley RSLogix 500 and 5000, Factory Talk View Studio and AutoCAD.\nKnowledge of safety systems.\nStrong fundamental knowledge of control and electrical system design and its application in automated industrial designs including specification of vision, power, sensor, inspection, and communications systems.\nEfficiently organize and plan work tasks to meet company goals.\nCritical thinking with exceptional problem solving skills, able to work independently and in team environments.\nProactive, resourceful & highly motivated with
