We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nEmployees should be attentive, alert, on time, properly attired, and ready to receive instruction promptly at the beginning of shift. \nAt the end of shift, complete the daily log sheet to include Daily Standards and break log check off.\nOperates most, if not all, power equipment used in course maintenance.\nRiding mowers: fairway, approach, rough (small, intermediate, large).\nWalking mowers: green, tee, collar.\nRestricted use equipment: various sprayers (multi pro's, McGregor, AD Williams backpack), top dressers (walking, pull behind), tractors, loaders, aerators, verticutters, sod cutters.\nSmall machinery: edger, string trimmer, flymo, chainsaw, backpack blower.\nCapable and proper use of all hand tools/equipment.\nChemical applications: spray greens, tees, fairways, rough, and native areas using appropriate sprayers.\nPerforms bunker maintenance: includes adding sand, and establishing a hard edge.\nParticipate in irrigation practices: hand watering, syringing and repairs.\nInvolved in course detail tasks: weed and debris clean-up, poa eradication, edge cart paths/tees, etc.\nAssist with course setup: moving tee markets, changing pin placements. \nMaintains equipment fluid levels: gasoline or diesel, oil, etc. (throughout the day).\nReports equipment problems/failures to mechanics immediately and completes correct paperwork.\nPerform daily equipment repair and maintenance as directed by Head Mechanic.\nEnsures all equipment used is washed properly, returned to designated location and charging if applicable.\nPlanting and maintenance of vegetative material.\nTransporting material.\nInvolved in leading up small and large crews.\nMaintain proper radio etiquette and return radios to chargers when finished.\nAvailable for overtime as needed.\nIncorporates safe work practices in job performance.\nRegular and reliable attendance.\nMaintains a professional standard at Juniper Preserve including, but not limited to, appearance, interaction with members, associates, guests of the club, verbal discussions and written correspondence. Does not discuss work related issues with members and resort guests.\nSupports and adheres to the CORE Values (i.e. \"The T.R.I.P.\"), The Mission Statement, Service Fundamentals, and Guest Service Philosophy as defined by the company.\nMaintains a positive attitude and the flexibility to take on new and different tasks as assigned by the Director of Agronomy, Golf Course Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Head Mechanic, Assistant Mechanic or Foreman.\nQualifications:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. May have frequent need to perform standing and walking activities related to golf course maintenance.\n\nOccasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.\n\nLifting/carrying up to 100 lbs. occasionally.\n\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.\n\nHearing requirements: constant need to speak on the telephone and/or two-way radio, respond to the general public and converse with staff.
