As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.\nPay Range: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour.\nGeneral Purpose:\nPresents a positive first impression of the restaurant’s friendliness, excellent service and high standards. This person greets Guests upon arrival, informs Guests of their wait time, monitors a waiting list, enters Guest names into the computer system, shows Guests to their table and bids Guests farewell as they leave. This person continuously monitors guest needs and the workflow of the restaurant and communicates progress with leaders.\nEssential Duties:\nGreet incoming and departing Guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact; escort them to assigned dining area; present menus; announce waiter's name\nInform Guest of current promotion and who will be serving them to ensure a smooth handoff to the service staff.\nControls the flow of work in the room by seating guests in station rotation while maintaining guest lists and following and enforcing check issue procedures.\nObservant to Guests' needs throughout dining experience to ensure they receive high quality service (i.e. notice a drink refill is needed while seating another Guest and ensuring the drink is refilled prior to getting back to the door).\nAssigns opening and/or closing side duties. Supervises side work and ensure completed lists of set ups of all stations before departure of service staff.\nMaintains reservation book, takes incoming telephone calls, notes reservations and special requests by guests.\nRemains knowledgeable of all menu items, prices and general service procedures.\nIssues dining charges by verifying orders and totaling bill for to-go orders. Tenders payments for ToGo orders.\nReconciles cash drawer by proving cash transactions; listing checks and credit card charges for to-go orders.\nResponsible for standards of appearance and cleanliness in all service areasand ensures restrooms are clean, stocked and orderly.\nRemains visible on the diningroom floor, and is easily accessible to guests, staff and management.\nChecks all tables daily, before service to ensure proper settings.\nAssists with side work and/or assisting service staff with bussing tables, taking cocktail orders, etc.\nWorks with servers, kitchen and bar staff before, during and after meal service periods to execute a “Member/Guest Comes First” approach. \nCommunicates guest requests and concerns to the department manager.\nIncorporates safe work practices in job performance.\nRegular and reliable attendance.\nPerforms other duties as required.\nMinimum Requirements:\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be upbeat, outgoing and positive and possess a strong ability to multitask.\nPreferred Requirements:\n1+ years prior experience preferred\nProven exemplary customer service skills \nPassion for providing extraordinary service\nThe ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment\nPhysical Demands:\nFrequently stands, walks, talks and hears. Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions.
