As part of Troon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.\nCompensation: $115,000 - $125,000, based on experience\nGeneral Purpose:\nThe Resort Manager manages all aspects of the resort-style community including its activities and the relationships between the community, Troon, the Board of Directors, members, guests, associates, government, and industry. Serves as top management level at property.\nResponsibilities:\nAdministers Resort policies and procedures established by the Board of Directors.\nPlans, develops, and approves specific operational policies, programs, procedures, and methods in concert with general policies.\nMonitors monthly and other financial reports/statements on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis for the facility and takes effective corrective action when necessary.\nCoordinates the development of the Resort’s long-range and annual (business) plans.\nWorks with Troon Human Resources Department to establish a basic personnel policy; initiating and monitoring policies relating to personnel actions, training, and professional development programs.\nResponsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.\nDirectly manages all department leaders and employees.\nAttends conferences, workshops and meetings to keep abreast of current information and developments in the field.\nCoordinates development of operating and capital budgets according to the budget calendar; monitors monthly and other financial statements for the Resort; takes effective corrective action as required.\nProvides advice and recommendations to the President and committees about construction, alterations, maintenance, materials, supplies, equipment, and services not provided in approved plans and/or budgets.\nConsistently ensures that the Resort is operated in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws.\nOversees the care and maintenance of all the Resort’s physical assets and facilities.\nEnsures the highest standards for food, beverage, sports and recreation, entertainment, and other Resort services.\nEstablishes and monitors compliance with Troon Procurement purchasing policies and procedures.\nReports member infractions to the Board of Directors for necessary action.\nServes as liaison between all management staff and the Board of Directors.\nMaintains relations with police, fire, liquor control board, health department, and other governmental agencies.\nEstablishes training programs, inspection protocols, and preventive enforcement measures to enhance emergency preparedness and response.\nConvenes and presides over meetings with departmental managers; conducts all-facility personnel meetings.\nGives direction to and works closely with vendors, outside contractors, firms, and individuals providing services, lease agreements, or contracts to the Resort.\nRegular and reliable attendance.\nEducation/Experience:\nBachelor’s degree (BA); or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nPhysical Demands:\nRegularly stands, walks and sits.\nOccasionally may climb, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches, tastes or smells.\nRegularly uses hands to finger, feel or handle, reaches with arms and hands, talks or hears.\nOccasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.\nEnvironment/Noise:\nOccasionally works in outdoor weather conditions.\nNoise level is moderate.\nCertificates/Licenses:\nActive Florida Community Association Management License\nJob Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:\nAbility to read and speak English may be required to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).\nKnowledge of Microsoft Office applications.\nThis job description is not an exclusive or exhaustive list of all job functions that an associate in this position may be asked to perform from time to time.\nBenefits & Other Compensation:\nThis position includes eligibility for the following benefits, subject to applicable plan terms:\nHealthcare Benefits - Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage.\n Retirement Benefits - 401(k) with employer match (19 years of age and older).\n Time Off - Paid time off (PTO) and leaves of absence, in accordance with applicable law and eligibility criteria.\nEligibility for benefits and the specific terms, conditions, and offerings are governed by the applicable plan documents and company policies, which may be amended at the Company’s discretion.\nAbout Troon:\nFounded in 1990 and headquartered in Scottsdale, AZ, Troon is the world’s largest professional club management company, that specializes in services in golf, hospitality, and residential communities.
