Our team is our competitive advantage and we are better together.\nYOUR MISSION\nAs anApprentice Technician, you will support spacecraft production, mechanical assembly, integration, and testing while developing the skills needed to become a well- rounded spacecraft technician. This entry-level role is designed for individuals with limited\nindustry experience who are eager to learn through hands-on training, mentorship, and cross-functional exposure.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nMechanical Assembly and Integration:Support the assembly and integration of spacecraft structures, components, mechanisms, panels, brackets, fasteners, and flight\nhardware. Assist with the installation and removal of components under the guidance of experienced technicians.\nBasic Mechanical Operations:Perform fastening, torquing, taping, hardware installation, part preparation, and other basic mechanical tasks after appropriate training.\nTest Support: Assist with spacecraft and component test setup and execution, including functional and environmental testing, fixture installation, test equipment setup, and post- test activities.Tools and Documentation:Learn to safely use hand tools, power tools, torque tools, measuring equipment, and production equipment. Read and follow drawings, work instructions, procedures, and manufacturing documentation.\nShop and Material Support:Support hardware movement, material handling, tool control, shop organization, inventory activities, and general production needs.\nSafety and Quality:Follow FOD, ESD, cleanliness, hardware-handling, personal protective equipment, and shop safety requirements. Document completed work and communicate discrepancies or concerns to technicians, leads, engineers, and management.\nCross-Training:Develop skills across mechanical production, spacecraft integration, and test. Flex between work areas as production priorities and program needs change.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\n0-1 year of manufacturing, mechanical, technical, automotive, aerospace, aviation,\nelectronics, or similar hands-on experience.\nBasic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.\nComfort working with hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.\nAbility to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.\nReliable, team-oriented, and willing to take on new responsibilities.\nAbility to work across multiple areas of a production shop.\nAbility to lift 25 pounds and work in and around constrained or confined spaces.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nTrade school, technical school, apprenticeship, or relevant technical training.\nExperience or coursework in manufacturing, mechanical systems, automotive,\naviation, aerospace, electronics, machining, or a related field.\nExposure to engineering drawings, work instructions, torque tools, calipers, gauges, or other measurement equipment.\nPrevious experience in manufacturing, production, maintenance, laboratory, or technical environment.\nCOMPENSATION\nBase Salary: Apprentice Technician: $24-33/hr\n*this position is non-exempt and is eligible for overtime \n\nEquity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave \nYour actual level and base salary will be determinedon a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, location, and experience. \nADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS\nWork Location -this a fully onsite position based out of our Long Beach, CA office.\nWork environment -the work environment; temperature, noise level, inside or outside, or other factors that will affect the person's working conditions while performing the job.\n Physical demands -the physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, lifting and driving.\nThis position will be open until it is successfully filled.
