You will develop and modify CNC tube-bending programs, establish machine setups, and work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to produce flight-ready hardware. \nRESPONSIBILITIES \nCNC Tube-Bending Programming: Create, modify, verify, and optimize CNC tube-bending programs using engineering drawings, bend tables, tube centerline dimensions, bend allowances, rotation values, material specifications, and process documentation. Simulate programs when applicable and make approved adjustments to improve accuracy, repeatability, and production efficiency. \nCNC Tube Bending: Set up, operate, and adjust CNC tube-bending machines to produce precision tube assemblies. Load and unload tubing, select and install tooling, establish machine offsets, verify bend sequences, and troubleshoot forming or dimensional issues. \nTube Preparation and Fabrication: Cut, deburr, clean, bend, flare, swage, form, and fit metallic tubing to meet required dimensional, cosmetic, and cleanliness standards. Work with stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, nickel alloys, and other aerospace materials. \nInspection and Verification: Inspect tube assemblies using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, inspection fixtures, go/no-go gauges, and other precision measurement equipment. Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections while accurately recording results. \nTube Assembly and Integration: Fit and assemble bent tubes with fittings, valves, manifolds, brackets, panels, trays, and other fluid-system hardware. Support tube routing, alignment, installation, torquing, leak checking, and system integration activities. \nEquipment and Tooling: Perform routine machine maintenance, tooling changes, setup verification, and basic troubleshooting. Identify equipment, tooling, or programming issues and support corrective actions with manufacturing engineering and maintenance personnel. \nSafety and Compliance: Follow protocols for machine safety, hazardous materials, FOD prevention, ESD control, cleanroom operations, material handling, and other applicable safety and quality requirements. \nContinuous Improvement: Support improvements to CNC programs, tooling, work instructions, inspection methods, and manufacturing processes. Provide technical support to team members and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to improve production methods. \nQUALIFICATIONS \nTechnical degree, certificate, apprenticeship, or equivalent training in CNC machining, manufacturing, aerospace, mechanical, welding, fabrication, or a related field. \nRelevant experience programming, setting up, and operating CNC tube benders, rotary-draw benders, press benders, or comparable precision forming equipment. \nProficiency reading engineering drawings, GD&T, bend tables, process sheets, and work instructions. \nExperience creating, editing, verifying, and troubleshooting CNC tube-bending programs and machine parameters. \nExperience setting up machines, changing tooling, establishing offsets, adjusting parameters, and troubleshooting dimensional or forming issues. \nExperience working with metallic tubing, fittings, valves, manifolds, pressure systems, or related aerospace hardware. \nExperience working in ESD-sensitive, FOD-critical, and cleanroom environments. \nAbility to safely use hand tools, torque tools, precision measurement equipment, CNC machinery, and specialized manufacturing equipment. \nAbility to work autonomously and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. \nStrong written and verbal communication skills. \nAbility to lift 25 pounds and work in and around constrained or confined spaces. \nAbility to follow detailed procedures and accurately document completed work, inspection results, CNC program revisions, and test data. \nPREFERRED SKILLS \nExperience programming and operating CNC rotary-draw tube benders and aerospace tube-bending equipment. \nExperience with Eaton Leonard, BLM, VLB, Unison, or comparable CNC tube-bending machines. \nExperience with tube-bending programming software, bend simulation, or CNC manufacturing programming systems. \nExperience developing programs for thin-wall, close-tolerance, or complex multi-plane tubing. \nTube bending, flaring, swaging, forming, and precision fitting. \nExperience working with stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, nickel alloys, or other aerospace materials. \nFamiliarity with ASME Y14.5, aerospace manufacturing standards, and dimensional inspection practices. \nExperience with leak, proof, pressure, flow, or functional testing. \nExperience with orbital tube welding, aerospace welding, brazing, or soldering. \nExperience supporting spacecraft integration, propulsion systems, qualification testing, or production operations. \nExperience with cleanroom protocols, high-purity fluid systems, cryogenic systems, vacuum systems, or high-pressure gas systems. \nExperience using ERP, MES, manufacturing execution, or electronic traveler systems. \nCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS \nLevel III: $36-$50.50/hr\nSenior Tube Bender:$43.50-$60/hr\nEquity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave \nYour actual level and base salary will be determinedon a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, location, and experience. \nADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS\nWork Location -Successful candidates will be located near Long Beach, CA. \nWork environment -the work environment; temperature, noise level, inside or outside, or other factors that will affect the person's working conditions while performing the job.\nPhysical demands -the physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, lifting and driving.\nThis position will be open until it is successfully filled.
