True Anomaly seeks those with the talent and ambition to build the technology that secures it.\nOUR MISSION\nTrue Anomaly delivers decisive capabilities for space superiority. We build autonomous spacecraft, advanced payloads, mission software, and space-based interceptors - enabling the U.S. and its Allies to secure the space environment and counter threats from the ultimate high ground.\nOUR VALUES\nBe the offset. We create asymmetric advantages with creativity and ingenuity.\nWhat would it take? We challenge assumptions to deliver ambitious results.\nIt’s the people. Our team is our competitive advantage and we are better together.\nBENEFITS & PERKS*\nBest-in-class healthcare: 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents, with HSA/HRA options\n Generous time off: Flexible Time Off (FTO) for exempt employees, accrued PTO of up to 25 days for non-exempt employees, plus 12 paid holidays; Parental Leave; Sick Leave\nFuel for your day: Daily catered lunch and unlimited snacks for in-office employees\n And more: 401(k) retirement plan, fitness reimbursement, and Dog Fridays\nEquity participation: Equity is included as part of our total compensation package, giving you an opportunity to share in the company’s success.\n*Do not apply to fixed term and temporary roles\nYOUR MISSION\nTrue Anomaly is looking for you to join our team!\nWe are seeking a Senior or Staff level Technical Leader to join our team of Harness Engineers. We architect spacecraft-wide harness solutions that span multiple programs, teams, and vehicle configurations - and you could too! You will help us define the standards, conventions, best practices, and automation strategies that will enable us to produce rapid and reliable harness designs and integration efforts across the organization. You will be accountable for program-level delivery outcomes - not just the quality of individual designs, but the consistency, scalability, and velocity of harness engineering across True Anomaly's portfolio. You will help us design reusable patterns and tooling that multiply the effectiveness of every harness engineer on the team. You are a technical leader and also will mentor engineers across organizational boundaries, helping to shape cross-org alignment on technical direction. This role requires someone who can think in systems, help us build for scale, and who will lead through influence rather than authority.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nArchitect spacecraft-wide electrical harness standards and interface conventions across programs; Help define and communicate consistent application of grounding, shielding, EMC isolation, and signal integrity practices at the vehicle level for all programs and vehicle lines.\nDefine spacecraft-level routing rules and mechanical interface standards that integrate harness layouts across full spacecraft configurations, including deployable and multi-module assemblies that resolve competing constraints across thermal, mechanical, electromagnetic, and operational domains.\nCollaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Manufacturing to develop Flight Harness piece part and material selection strategies for the company; Continuous partnership across True Anomaly teams to ensure optimization of part availability, cost efficiency, and production scalability that extends beyond a single program.\nDefine corporate design-for-manufacture philosophies and reliability standards for harness assemblies; Collaborate with industry suppliers on material innovation, process improvement, and next-generation connector and cabling technologies helping standardize harness builds and verification processes across programs.\nHelping to hold accountable cross-discipline consistency in standards and configurations across electrical, mechanical, thermal, and avionics domains; Serve as the integrating authority for harness-related interfaces.\nCreate automation tools for rapid harness design and validation - reducing manual effort, catching errors earlier, and enabling faster iteration across the design cycle.\nHelp create reusable design patterns and scalable solutions that become organizational assets; Codify durable practices that outlast individual programs.\nShape company narratives on harness engineering direction and technical investment; You will have influence on executive leadership's strategic priorities, technology bets, and organizational capability development.\nCoach and mentor developing harness engineers across teams; Continue to build and foster collaboration across organizational boundaries, growing the next generation of senior technical talent.\nEmbed True Anomaly's values into cross-org delivery practices; Serve as a visible role model for trust, accountability, and principled engineering judgment while setting the cultural tone for how teams collaborate and hold themselves accountable.\nAnticipate architectural trade-offs before they become problems; Proactively identify risks across programs and drive mitigation strategies that protect schedule and mission assurance across programs.\nShape the technical bench for harness engineering; Grow senior technical talent, help leadership create career development pathways for the team, and influence enterprise engineering culture through visible leadership and principled decision-making.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering discipline; advanced degree preferred.\n8+ years of professional experience specifically designing harnesses, with preference given to spacecraft or aerospace applications. Demonstrated progression into multi-program architectural leadership.\nProven track record of defining spacecraft-wide harness standards, interface conventions, or design automation tools adopted across multiple programs or vehicle lines.\nDeep expertise in EMI/EMC, grounding architecture, signal integrity, and system-level verification strategies for flight harness systems.\nExperience architecting harness layouts that integrate across full spacecraft configurations, including complex routing, multi-module assemblies, and deployable elements.\nDemonstrated accountability for program-level delivery outcomes spanning multiple teams and workstreams.\nExperience defining or standardizing verification and validation processes, reliability standards, or derating guidelines used across an organization.\nTrack record of designing reusable tooling, templates, or automation that measurably improved design velocity or quality across teams.\nExperience overseeing supply chain and manufacturability strategies for flight harness hardware.\nStrong ability to coordinate across teams, influence without authority, and shape technical alignment in cross-organizational settings.\nExperience coaching and developing engineers at multiple career levels; Demonstrated investment in growing senior technical talent.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience shaping cross-org alignment and maintaining composure and clarity under program pressure and influencing executive leadership on technical strategy, investment priorities, and organizational direction.\nWilling to travel up to 20% of the time.\nPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE\nExperience developing harness design automation tools or workflows (e.g., scripted routing validation, automated BOM generation, CAD-integrated design rule checking).\nExperience with ECAD and MCAD software tools for 3D harness routing, 2D drafting, and electrical schematic capture design work.\nFamiliarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches for managing harness interfaces and configurations at scale.\nExperience leading or defining spacecraft-level EMC qualification campaigns across multiple vehicle programs.\nHands-on experience establishing or governing approved parts lists, materials standards, or corporate design guidelines for harness assemblies.\nExperience contributing to industry standards bodies or working groups related to spacecraft harnessing, EMC, or electrical integration (e.g., IPC, SAE, AIAA).\nPrior involvement in mission assurance boards, design certification reviews, or flight readiness processes at the program level.\nExperience shaping engineering culture, onboarding practices, or technical mentorship programs within a growing organization.\nCOMPENSATION\nBase Salary: $135,000-$250,000\nEquity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave \nYour actual level and base salary will be determinedon a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, location, and experience. \nADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS\nAbility to maintain or obtain TS//SCI clearance\nWork Location -this role will be onsite full-time at our Centennial, CO or our Long Beach, CA location.
