Responsibilities include onboarding and offboarding, benefits administration, HRIS management, policy development and maintenance, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations. The Generalist also serves as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries and provides timely, accurate guidance on HR policies, programs, and procedures. \nThe ideal candidate is highly organized and detail-oriented, handles confidential information with discretion, and can manage many priorities in a fast-paced environment. The role calls for strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to continuous process improvement. \nRESPONSIBILITIES \nProcess hires, transfers and terminations in HRIS (Rippling), and respective downstream workflows\nSupport onboarding and offboarding logistics (I-9s, benefits enrollment support, equipment retrieval) \nPrepare and send routine employee communications (policy reminders, open enrollment communications.\nMaintain employee communication channels (Teams, Confluence) \nPossesses foundational knowledge of benefits and leaves to field employee questions. \nIdentify system/process gaps, propose improvements, and drive implementation-balancing speed with quality. \nSupport multi-state compliance execution through strong process controls (document retention, policy acknowledgements, required notices, tracking). \nAssist with audits and internal checks (e.g., I-9 process coordination, policy distribution, data accuracy reviews) in partnership with senior People/Legal/Finance stakeholders as needed. \nConduct periodic data integrity reviews across the HRIS, payroll, and benefits platforms, and reconcile any discrepancies so the data is ready for compliance and audits. \nQUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s degree\nIdeally 3+ years of work experience in a People Operations role in a start-up environment. \nHighly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. \nA strong communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills. \nProactive and resourceful, with a problem-solving mindset and a customer-focused approach. \nTech-savvy, with experience and proficiency in tools like Microsoft Office, Slack, Microsoft Teams or Zoom, and Confluence. \nHand-on experience with an HRIS (Rippling experience preferred) \nComfortable handling sensitive information with discretion and maintaining strict confidentiality. \nA collaborative team player who thrives in a dynamic and evolving environment. \nPassionate about fostering positive employee experiences and contributing to organizational success. \n\nPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE\nSHRM-CP or PHR certification \nCOMPENSATION\nBase Salary: Base Salary: $75,000- $105,000 \nEquity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave \nYour actual level and base salary will be determinedon a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, location, and experience. \nADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS\nWork Location -Successful candidates will be located near Denver.\nWork environment -the work environment; temperature, noise level, inside or outside, or other factors that will affect the person's working conditions while performing the job.\nPhysical demands -the physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, lifting and driving.\nThis position will be open until it is successfully filled.
