Quality is critical — and we're looking for a Senior Manual QA Engineer who can own it. \n\nWhat We're Looking For\n\nWe are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data infrastructure supporting analytics, reporting, machine learning, and business operations.\n\nThe ideal candidate has strong experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, distributed systems, and database optimization, with a focus on reliability, performance, and scalability.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nDesign, develop, and maintain scalable batch and real-time data pipelines.\n\nBuild and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.\n\nDevelop and maintain data architectures supporting analytics, BI, and machine learning.\n\nImplement and maintain streaming data pipelines using technologies such as Kafka and orchestration tools such as Airflow.\n\nDesign and optimize data models, schemas, and storage solutions across SQL, NoSQL, and analytical databases.\n\nEnsure data quality through validation, deduplication, normalization, and reconciliation.\n\nOptimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, latency, and cost efficiency.\n\nImplement monitoring, logging, alerting, and fault-tolerance mechanisms.\n\nTroubleshoot production issues involving databases, pipelines, and distributed systems.\n\nMaintain data contracts, schema compatibility, data lineage, and documentation.\n\nImplement data security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and PII protection.\n\nCollaborate with engineering, analytics, product, and ML teams to deliver reliable data solutions.\n\nAutomate infrastructure deployment and maintenance using CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.\n\nParticipate in architectural decisions and continuously improve data platform reliability and maintainability.\n\nRequirements\n\nStrong commercial experience in Data Engineering.\n\nHands-on experience designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines.\n\nStrong knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and data integration.\n\nExperience with batch and real-time data processing.\n\nExperience with Kafka, Airflow, or similar technologies.\n\nStrong understanding of relational, NoSQL, and analytical databases.\n\nExperience with data modeling, schema design, and database performance optimization.\n\nUnderstanding of distributed systems, fault tolerance, and high-availability architectures.\n\nExperience implementing data quality checks, monitoring, and observability.\n\nFamiliarity with CI/CD practices and Infrastructure as Code.\n\nKnowledge of data security, access management, and sensitive data protection.\n\nStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\n\nAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.\n\nLanguages: English B2, Russian or Ukrainian — native.\n\nLocated in a European time zone.\nNice to Have\n\nExperience building data infrastructure for machine learning workloads.\n\nExperience defining SLIs/SLOs for data pipelines.\n\nKnowledge of data governance, lineage, and compliance
