This hands-on role spans electrical design, simulation, lab validation, and end-to-end hardware execution.\nWhat You'll Do\nDevelop lab-scale prototypes into structured, testable, customer-ready hardware systems.\n\nDesign 800V-class DC power conversion, switching, and distribution architectures using modern devices such as SiC.\n\nModel electrical, thermal, and system-level behavior with tools such as SPICE and PLECS, then iterate on designs.\n\nLead lab bring-up, debugging, and characterization with high-power equipment, addressing switching, timing, sensing, and protection challenges.\n\nUse AI-enabled tools, including agents and language models, to accelerate design, simulation, testing, and iteration.\n\nCoordinate PCB fabrication, component sourcing, and packaging with external partners.\n\nMake practical tradeoffs across performance, thermal management, reliability, and manufacturability.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nAt least 2 years of experience designing, prototyping, and testing power electronics systems.\n\nExperience owning hardware from prototype through validation, including design, simulation, bring-up, and iteration.\n\nHands-on gate-driver design experience for fast-switching architectures and familiarity with high-voltage systems, such as 800V DC.\n\nExperience with electrical simulation tools such as SPICE or PLECS, and power electronics technologies including SiC or GaN.\n\nA degree in Electrical Engineering or demonstrated aptitude in power electronics.\n\nStrong system intuition and the ability to reason about electrical, thermal, and mechanical tradeoffs.\n\nExperience incorporating AI tools, such as agents or models, into engineering workflows.\n\nBackground in EVs, EV charging, solar, or battery storage is useful; hands-on side projects are also valued.\n\nCompensation & Benefits\nBase salary range: $175,000 to $250,000 annually.
