You will be the team's first dedicated electrical engineer, with hands-on responsibility for hardware that supports an upcoming satellite mission and future in-orbit AI computing.\nWhat You'll Do\nDesign and own the flight computer for an upcoming satellite mission.\n\nBuild prototypes, bring up hardware, and debug issues in the Los Angeles lab with engineering leadership.\n\nCollaborate with contract manufacturers and original design manufacturers on electronics and compute systems for a larger satellite platform.\n\nGuide high-speed interconnect decisions, including NVLink and SerDes, and evaluate photonics and optical interconnects.\n\nDevelop firmware and platform software for payload systems as needed.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nExperience as an electrical or computer engineer, from early career through 15 years, with at least one year in a high-growth, venture-backed startup or comparable 0-to-1 environment.\n\nA degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.\n\nEnd-to-end custom board or system-board design experience, including schematics, high-speed PCB layout, bring-up, and debugging.\n\nKnowledge of high-speed digital design, signal integrity, and power integrity.\n\nExperience with embedded C or C++, firmware, Linux, or Python is relevant to the work.\n\nChip-level experience with GPUs, accelerators, SoCs, or large ASICs is valuable, as is experience with photonics, optical interconnects, or networking.\n\nExperience working directly with contract manufacturers or ODMs, or with space, satellite, and radiation-hardened hardware, is beneficial.\n\nCompensation & Benefits\nBase salary range: $120,000 to $220,000 annually.
