You will take ownership of systems that support medical data workflows and model inference, helping improve the reliability and scale of technology used in healthcare.\nWhat You'll Do\nDesign, build, and operate backend infrastructure across data ingestion, warehousing, and distributed model inference on AWS.\n\nOwn reliability, observability, debugging, and capacity planning across the stack.\n\nBuild CI/CD and deployment automation that helps a lean team ship safely and efficiently.\n\nDesign systems handling protected health information with encryption, access controls, and audit logging.\n\nWork with the ML team on infrastructure and model inference pipelines as priorities require.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nAt least 5 years of experience in backend distributed systems or data infrastructure engineering.\n\nHands-on experience designing, building, and operating large-scale production systems on AWS or a comparable cloud.\n\nProficiency in Go, Python, or Java, with experience in data pipelines, ETL, data warehouses or data lakes, and schema evolution.\n\nExperience leading multi-quarter technical initiatives across systems or teams, and making thoughtful performance, cost, security, and maintainability tradeoffs.\n\nStrong production troubleshooting skills, plus experience with CI/CD and deployment automation.\n\nStartup or startup-like experience is valuable. Healthtech, HIPAA or SOC 2, PHI, ML infrastructure, model inference, TypeScript, React, and Docker experience are also relevant.\n\nA degree in computer science or another STEM field, or equivalent strong technical fundamentals.\n\nCompensation & Benefits\nBase salary: $215,000 to $275,000 annually.
