You will shape foundational product systems that help researchers work with complex scientific workflows.\nWhat You'll Do\nBuild product features and systems from the ground up across the frontend and backend.\n\nDesign, develop, and own scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines across application, identity, storage, and machine learning layers.\n\nShip production code within fast-moving development cycles and iterate on features after deployment.\n\nPartner with engineers, product managers, designers, and AI scientists to turn scientific workflows into intuitive, high-performance software.\n\nOwn features end to end, from early development through production deployment and scaling.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nAt least 10 years of professional full-stack or backend engineering experience, excluding internships.\n\nExperience building and owning production systems used by customers, ideally in an early-stage or high-growth startup environment.\n\nStrong skills in Python and React, with experience building backend services and REST APIs; Django experience is a plus.\n\nExperience with scalable systems, databases, and data-intensive applications. Familiarity with GraphQL and cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is helpful.\n\nA bachelor's degree in computer science, a STEM field, or comparable technical background.\n\nStrong curiosity, clear communication, and an interest in life sciences, drug discovery, or computational biology.\n\nCompensation & Benefits\nBase salary: $175,000 to $220,000 annually.
