In this customer-facing role, you will guide enterprise prospects through technical evaluations and show how digital tools can support faster, more effective R&D.\nWhat You'll Do\nLead the technical pre-sales process, from initial demonstrations and value cases through evaluations and pilot execution.\n\nBuild tailored demonstrations, workshops, and pilots around prospects' research and development workflows.\n\nPartner with sales colleagues and customer stakeholders to communicate value and support new business.\n\nPresent technical evaluations and explain how digital R&D data management can improve research and innovation.\n\nMentor and support early-career team members during customer evaluations.\n\nWrite Python scripts and configure platform integrations for prospect engagements as needed.\n\nTravel 25% to 50% for customer meetings, presentations, and workshops.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nFour to seven years of relevant experience, including at least four years in digitalization, change management, or R&D leadership.\n\nAn advanced degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or materials science, ideally with a computational or machine learning focus.\n\nStrong chemistry or materials science expertise and understanding of enterprise R&D workflows and laboratory informatics.\n\nExperience building and demonstrating technical platforms for enterprise customers, with a value-based pre-sales approach.\n\nExperience in R&D leadership at a large chemical or materials organization, or in technical management consulting, is valuable.\n\nPython scripting skills and the ability to communicate confidently with technical and business audiences.\n\nWillingness and ability to travel, and authorization to work in the US, UK, or Germany. Visa sponsorship is not available.\n\nFor European locations, fluent English and advanced proficiency in the local language are expected.\n\nCompensation & Benefits\nBase salary: $120,000 to $150,000 USD annually.
