Our team moves fast, communicates openly, and obsesses over solving real problems for manufacturers navigating today's complex global supply chain.\nWe are looking for a Principal Product Manager to own and drive our Cost Engineering module, a core capability that helps manufacturers understand what their parts should cost, could cost, and best cost, identify savings opportunities, and make better design and sourcing decisions.\nThis module sits at the intersection of design engineering and procurement, enabling both teams to collaborate around a shared understanding of cost. It includes capabilities like should-cost modeling, cost breakdown analysis, design-to-cost feedback, supplier cost benchmarking, and parametric estimating.\nThe module is expanding rapidly with new capabilities. You'll shape its roadmap, deepen its value for customers, and ensure it remains a key differentiator as we scale. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role. You'll work directly with customers, collaborate closely with engineering and design, and report to the VP of Product. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, love solving complex problems for manufacturing customers, and want to build something that matters, this is the role.\nResponsibilities:\nOwn the Cost Engineering Module\nDefine and drive the product roadmap for the Cost Engineering module.\nPrioritize ruthlessly based on customer impact, business value, and technical feasibility.\nBalance near-term customer needs with long-term platform scalability.\nGo Deep with Customers\nConduct customer interviews, discovery calls, and on-site visits to understand pain points, workflows, and unmet needs.\nTranslate customer insights into clear product requirements and user stories.\nServe as the voice of the customer internally-ensuring we're solving real problems, not hypothetical ones.\nCollaborate Cross-Functionally\nPartner with engineering to deliver high-quality releases on time.\nWork with UI/UX to create intuitive, user-friendly experiences for both procurement and engineering users.\nAlign with sales, customer success, and marketing to support go-to-market efforts and gather feedback from the field.\nDrive Execution\nDefine clear success metrics and track product performance post-launch.\nRun sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release coordination.\nCommunicate progress, trade-offs, and decisions clearly to stakeholders at all levels.\nShape the Future\nIdentify opportunities to expand the module's capabilities-whether through new features, integrations, or AI/ML enhancements.\nStay close to market trends, competitive dynamics, and evolving customer needs in discrete manufacturing. \nQualifications:\nExperience\n8+ years of product management experience, with a strong track record of owning and scaling B2B SaaS products.\nDeep domain expertise in discrete manufacturing-ideally with direct experience in cost engineering, procurement, sourcing, or engineering/PLM workflows.\nExperience working with both technical and business stakeholders, and the ability to bridge the gap between them. \nStartup experience is highly desirable.\nSkills\nStrong business and customer orientation-you start with the problem, not the solution.\nAbility to translate complex, ambiguous customer needs into clear product direction.\nExcellent communication skills-written, verbal, and visual.
