The role will work closely with Security\nOperations Center personnel, cyber threat hunters, cyber threat intelligence analysts, penetration\ntesters, digital forensics personnel, and cybersecurity engineers to transform security telemetry\nand threat intelligence into actionable defensive capabilitie\nJob Responsibilities\n Lead the design and implementation of technical data science solutions supporting enterprisecybersecurity operations.\n\n Develop data models and automation capabilities that enhance security monitoring, detection,threat hunting, UEBA, and correlation of cybersecurity information across the ICE enterprise.\n\n Design and implement custom algorithms, analytical processes, and data architectures forcomplex enterprise scale data sets used for modeling, data mining, research, and cyber defense.\n\n Develop advanced analytical capabilities supporting predictive risk analysis, risk identification, riskmapping, cyber risk cost analysis, supply chain threat identification, and User and Entity Behavior\nAnalytics.\n\n Design data pipelines and workflows that ingest, normalize, correlate, and analyze information frommultiple disparate security and enterprise data sources.\n\n Develop machine learning algorithms and models to identify anomalous behavior, emerging cyberthreats, attack patterns, and other indicators of malicious activity.\n\n Develop metrics and trending analysis covering enterprise security anomalies, threat actor activityand impact, user behavior anomalies, and other relevant cybersecurity data.\n\n Apply data science and automation to cyber threat hunting activities to increase analytical maturityand reduce manual investigative processes.\n\n Incorporate data science modeling into operational threat hunting and support predictive threatsimulations designed to estimate cyber attack probability and potential cost or impact.\n\n Develop capabilities that correlate cyber threat intelligence with assets, users, and security eventsto evaluate the potential financial and operational impact of cyber incidents.\n\n Support development of custom Indicators of Compromise and Indicators of Attack detection andalerting mechanisms.\n\n Develop visualizations, dashboards, and other high visibility reporting capabilities thatcommunicate complex cybersecurity data, trends, risks, and analytical findings to technical and\nleadership audiences.\n\n Design and develop automation supporting security tool administration, cybersecurity analytics,customized searches, and security applications.\n\n Support integration of analytical capabilities with Security Information and Event Management andSecurity Orchestration, Automation, and Response platforms.\n\n Support ICE User and Entity Behavior Analytics capabilities and the development, integration,optimization, and maintenance of security data analytics capabilities.\n\n Identify and resolve critical data quality, integrity, architecture, and analytical issues affectingcybersecurity capabilities.\n\n Support development of repeatable and scalable analytical processes that improve detection,investigation, response, and proactive defense operations.\n\nJob Qualifications\nMaster’s or PhD degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or\nEconomics required, OR additional experience above the minimum may be considered in lieu of the\nrequired education on a year for year basis.\n5+ years of experience with machine learning engineering, data science, data project engineering, or\nsoftware development for data solutions.\nExperience with designing a technical solution and leading a team in the implementation of the\ntechnical design.\nExperience with object oriented programming languages such as Python, JSON, C++, Java, R, or Scala.\nExperience with containerization tools, including Kubernetes and Docker.\nExperience with architecting and designing novel analytic methods using machine learning\nmethodologies.\nExperience with developing and supporting data oriented tasks for cybersecurity solutioning,\nincluding developing machine learning algorithms, data models, or architecture strategy for cyber\ndefense purposes.\nExperience with developing and engineering data workflows to merge disparate data sources and\ndraw data driven insights.\nExperience with designing and developing automation for security tools management and creating\ncustomized searches and applications\nAbility to support high visibility reporting on cybersecurity data through development of data\nvisualizations and/or dashboards.\nMust possess at least a Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) certification and be eligible for a Secret
