True Zero Technologies is a veteran-owned cybersecurity services firm based in Fairfax, Virginia, founded in 2018. The company provides a broad range of solutions including security engineering, cyber operations, threat intelligence, penetration testing, and managed security services. It operates as a strategic partner to major technology providers and serves federal, state, and commercial clients through various government contract vehicles.

True Zero Technologies, a veteran-owned small business, was founded on the principle that the purposeful enablement of people and technology in an organization directly ties to the quality of its outcomes. True Zero recognizes that those outcomes begin and end with our people, and that is what we have built a community of like-minded, driven, and passionate individuals and innovators who are aligned in a common goal of delivering top-tier services to our customers. Our culture and commitment have been recognized through numerous accolades, including being named one of the Best Places to Work in 2023 in two categories (“Prosperous and Thriving” ($5MM-$50MM in gross revenue) and “Mid-Atlantic Region” (DC, DE, MD, NC, VA, WV)), and again in 2025 as a Best Places to Work honoree. In addition, True Zero earned coveted spots on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies in America in 2022, 2023, and 2025, a testament to our sustained growth driven by our people-first approach and unwavering dedication to excellence.

Job Responsibilities

  • Research, design, and evaluate quantum-resistant cryptographic solutions, including post-quantum cryptography (PQC) algorithms and emerging quantum-safe security standards.
  • Assess existing enterprise systems, applications, protocols, and cryptographic implementations to identify vulnerabilities associated with current and future quantum computing threats.
  • Design and implement cryptographic modernization and migration strategies for transitioning from traditional public-key cryptography to quantum-resistant algorithms.
  • Develop, prototype, test, and optimize cryptographic algorithms, libraries, APIs, and security components for integration into enterprise applications and infrastructure.
  • Evaluate and implement NIST-standardized post-quantum cryptographic algorithms, including appropriate key establishment and digital signature mechanisms.
  • Perform cryptographic testing, security analysis, performance benchmarking, and interoperability testing to validate algorithm implementations and identify potential weaknesses.
  • Develop crypto-agility architectures that allow organizations to efficiently replace or update cryptographic algorithms, protocols, certificates, and keys as security requirements evolve.
  • Support the integration of quantum-safe cryptography with PKI, identity management, TLS, VPNs, cloud platforms, network security systems, applications, and data-protection technologies.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity architects, software engineers, researchers, and system owners to translate quantum-security requirements into practical technical solutions and implementation standards.
  • Produce technical documentation, architecture guidance, migration roadmaps, cryptographic inventories, risk assessments, and recommendations supporting organizational post-quantum readiness and cryptographic modernization.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years IT experience of which at least 5 years are of Quantum Computing and Cryptography experience at a large corporation or Government agency similar in size/scope to GSA, IRS, DoD or VA.
  • A Master’s degree in a related IT field may substitute for up to 2 years of the required experience.
  • Expertise in quantum mechanics, quantum algorithms (e.g., Shor’s algorithm, Grover’s algorithm), and quantum information theory.
  • Expertise in quantum programming languages and frameworks such as Qiskit (IBM), Cirq (Google), Quipper, and Microsoft Quantum Development Kit.
  • Expertise in cryptographic protocols (e.g., RSA, AES) and principles of public-key infrastructure (PKI).
  • Expertise in post-quantum cryptography and quantum-resistant algorithms.
  • Expertise in existing cryptographic standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO/IEC 19790).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and Java for implementing and testing cryptographic algorithms.
  • Expertise with classical and quantum simulation tools.
  • Expertise working with and advising on quantum-resistant algorithm migration plans and post-quantum cryptography (PQC) implementation strategies.
  • Expertise assessing organizational cryptographic inventory and identifying migration priorities.
  • Expertise collaborating with cross-functional teams to communicate quantum risk to non-technical leadership.
  • Experience providing policy and guidance inputs for cryptographic modernization aligned with NIST PQC standards (FIPS 203, 204, 205).
  • Expertise in project management or working in a project-oriented environment, with an understanding of how configuration management fits into the overall project lifecycle within a large corporation and Government agency similar in size/scope to GSA, IRS, DoD or VA.
  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Information Security, Information Resource Management, or related fields.
  • Certification in one or more of the following:
