You will work closely with senior management to ensure production processes run efficiently, meet quality standards, and adhere to safety regulations.\nLocation: Westland, MI\nEssential Job Functions\nProduction Oversight:\nPlan and schedule production activities to meet production targets, customer demands, and deadlines. \nCoordinate with production team members, senior supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth operations. \nMonitor production processes to optimize efficiency, minimize downtime, and reduce waste. \nTeam Leadership:\nLead and supervise a team of production workers, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and resolving issues. \nConduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training needs for team members. \nFoster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, productivity, and safety. \nQuality Control:\nAssist in performing Root Cause/5Y analysis to determine reason(s) for production downtime and NPR issues. \nConduct inspections, audits, and quality checks to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance. \nAddress quality issues promptly, investigate root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions. \nSafety Compliance:\nEnsure associate compliance with 5S initiatives.\nConduct safety training sessions, promote safety awareness, and actively participate in safety initiatives. \nIdentify and mitigate risks related to production processes, equipment, and workplace hazards. \nReporting and Documentation:\nPrepare production reports, including performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs). \nUtilize data analysis to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement. \nCommunicate findings, recommendations, and action plans to senior management and stakeholders. \nEducation/Experience\nBachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field (preferred). \n3+ years of experience in a Production/Manufacturing environment \nLean, 5S experience preferred. \nStrong leadership and communication skills preferred. \nExperience in the Automotive Industry is highly desirable but not required. \nProficiency in MS Office, production management software, and data analysis tools.\nSalary Range: $25.41 - $31.76 per hour, depending on experience and geographic location.\nPlease note that actual compensation offered may vary based on local pay requirements, and will meet or exceed state-specific minimum wage or salary thresholds.\nBenefits and Well-Being:\nWe offer a competitive benefits package, including 6 paid holidays, 1 paid floating holiday and up to 15 days of Paid Time Off per year, Medical/Dental/Vision insurance, Company-matching 401(k) and Employee Stock Purchase Program, in addition to other programs and perks.
