The successful candidate will be a dynamic and technologically savvy individual with the vision and drive to apply state-of-the-art technologies and methodologies to a wide range of land surveying and geospatial projects. The survey crew chief will be responsible for leading a team in collecting all required field data for the preparation of a variety of surveying projects, for both public and private clients.\nPay Range: $42-46/hour starting rate (commensurate with experience; room for advancement)\nWhat you'll do\nLead a survey crew in the performance of pipeline, boundary, ALTA, topographic, stake-out and utility surveys, and assist in downloading and processing conventional and GNSS field data\nInterface directly with project managers regarding performance of project tasks\nQC of all field data\nResearch, recover and measure real property evidence\nPrepare field notes, photographs, sketches, and detailed reports as required\nEnsure survey equipment maintenance and calibration is current\nSurvey vehicle upkeep and schedule maintenance\nUtilize best surveying practices to perform all survey tasks\nAssist in the training of junior team members\nFollow all safety and security procedures\nRepresent the company in a professional manner while interfacing with public and private sector clients and the general public\nMinimum Qualifications\nMinimum 2 years of experience as a survey field party chief\nExperience performing boundary, topographic, utility, pipeline surveying, and construction stake out\nMust be skilled in operating and performing surveys from boats all-terrain vehicles\nExperience running electronic total stations, GNSS and levels required\nMust be a self-starter, with the ability to work independently\nStrong leadership and supervisory skills\nMust possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record\nMust be willing to travel to various project sites and stay overnight, as required\nMust pass a pre-employment drug test and will be subject to random drug & alcohol testing\nPreferred Qualifications\nAssociate's Degree in land surveying or equivalent\nAutoCAD and field data processing\nHolding current Operator Qualifications for pipeline probing/depth of cover surveys is\nProject experience with pipeline and utility companies\nCertification as an LSIT\nHydrographic survey experience\nExperience running laser scanners and
