You’ll drive process improvements across a fast-growing machining operation, modernize older equipment, and help the site scale. It has added a second shift and is bringing in equipment and work from another location. The right person is an innovative, hands-on engineer who wants to be on the floor every day, helping give the business a competitive edge.\nWhat You’ll Do as the Process Engineer:\nDrive process improvements that reduce cycle time, scrap, and cost while improving quality and throughput\nModernize older and legacy equipment, bringing it up to today’s standards\nSupport equipment relocation projects and help redistribute work across the site by specialty\nHelp the operation scale with added shifts and growing production volume\nDevelop stable, repeatable machining processes for VTLs, mills, and lathes, backed by production data\nLead projects from initial specifications through vendor selection, installation, and production startup\nPrepare capital expenditure requests with supporting technical analysis and cost justification\nDevelop routings, time standards, and process documentation\nSupport fixture and tooling design and first article runs\nPartner with Quality to maintain process capability, and apply GD&T requirements on the floor\nTroubleshoot manufacturing issues directly with machinists and production leaders\nLead continuous improvement efforts as part of the company’s lean and Industry 4.0 initiatives\nMust-Haves as the Process Engineer:\nMid-level process or manufacturing engineering experience in a CNC machining environment\nHands-on knowledge of CNC turning and milling processes\nStrong GD&T and blueprint interpretation skills\nA track record of measurable process improvements\nExperience managing equipment, tooling, or process projects through implementation\nA hands-on approach and the desire to work on the production floor every day\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills\nU.S. person status (U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident) to satisfy ITAR requirements\nBachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology, or equivalent experience\nAbility to work onsite in the Hartford, CT area\nNice-to-Haves as the Process Engineer:\nAerospace, defense, or precision machining experience\nExperience with large-part turning or ring work\nMastercam or Siemens NX experience\nExperience retrofitting or modernizing older machine tools\nExperience with equipment relocations or plant layout projects\nLean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience\nFixture and tooling design experience\nExperience with ERP systems such as Infor LN or Baan\nThis Role Offers:\nBase salary of $90,000-$115,000, depending on experience, with flexibility for an exceptional candidate\n5% bonus opportunity\nMedical, dental, and vision coverage starting on day one, with a choice of PPO and high-deductible plans\nAn HSA with company contributions on the high-deductible plan\nA wellness program that lowers medical premiums when you complete your annual preventive exam\n401(k) eligibility on day one, with a company match of 3% on the first 6% you contribute\nPTO you can use right away, plus a floating holiday\nTuition reimbursement of up to $3,000 per year\nDisability and voluntary life insurance\nA first-shift, salaried schedule\nA structured 30-60-90 day onboarding plan with a buddy system\nReal ownership of improvement and modernization projects at a rapidly expanding site supporting commercial aviation, defense, and space programs\nTrueline and its clients are unabashed equal-opportunity employers committed to a diverse workforce.
