As part of a global marketing and communications group, the company operates internationally, with offices in major cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, London, and Singapore.\nJob Summary\nWe are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our client's core infrastructure and full-stack platform engineering team, helping build, maintain, and improve the cloud platform that powers its data and software products. The role focuses on managing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure using Terraform, enhancing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and secure OIDC authentication, and ensuring reliable, secure, and repeatable deployment workflows. The ideal candidate will be comfortable troubleshooting infrastructure and pipeline issues independently, identifying root causes, improving operational processes, and documenting technical solutions. Working closely with senior engineers, the engineer will gradually take ownership of production release support while developing the technical expertise and autonomy needed to grow into senior-level responsibilities.\nResponsibilities\nBuild, maintain, and improve cloud infrastructure using Terraform across multiple environments and projects.\n\nDevelop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines, primarily using GitHub Actions and OIDC-based keyless cloud authentication.\n\nTroubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and pipeline issues, identify root causes, and implement or document effective solutions.\n\nSupport DevOps incidents, operational requests, and production releases as responsibilities expand after onboarding.\n\nCreate and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, handoff notes, and design documents.\n\nReview infrastructure changes proposed by other engineers and identify potential risks or areas for improvement.\n\nIdentify weaknesses in existing systems and operational processes and recommend practical, evidence-based improvements.\n\nCollaborate with infrastructure and full-stack platform engineers to ensure reliable, secure, and repeatable deployment workflows.\n\nUse logs, tests, metrics, and other technical evidence to investigate issues and guide decisions.\n\nLeverage AI-assisted tools to improve planning, code reviews, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.\n\nGradually take greater ownership of infrastructure improvements, production support, and technical decision-making.\n\nQualifications and Job Requirements\n4-6 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering.\n\nStrong hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).\n\nExperience building, maintaining, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions.\n\nExperience working with at least one major cloud provider, with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) strongly preferred.\n\nWorking knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized deployment workflows.\n\nUnderstanding of networking fundamentals, including VPCs, DNS, and firewalls.\n\nKnowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM), secrets management, and secure cloud authentication practices.\n\nScripting experience with Python or Bash.\n\nStrong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.\n\nAbility to investigate technical issues independently, communicate blockers clearly, and document findings and solutions.\n\nGood written English and sufficient spoken English to collaborate effectively with a US-based team.\n\nAvailability to work standard US-timezone business hours.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nHands-on experience with GCP and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).\n\nExperience implementing GitHub Actions workflows and OIDC-based keyless authentication.\n\nExperience supporting production releases, responding to DevOps incidents, and resolving operational issues.\n\nExperience reviewing infrastructure changes and documenting technical decisions, runbooks, and handoffs.\n\nAbility to work independently in ambiguous situations, assess risks, and propose evidence-based improvements.\n\nFamiliarity with GCP services such as Cloud SQL, Cloud DNS, Cloud Monitoring and Logging, and Secret Manager.\n\nFamiliarity with Redis and cloud-based data infrastructure.\nNice-to-Have Qualifications\n\nExperience supporting data and analytics platforms, including Snowflake and dbt.\n\nExperience supporting generative AI products or AI-powered software platforms.\n\nFamiliarity with AI-assisted development tools for planning, code reviews, troubleshooting, and documentation.\n\nDemonstrated ability and motivation to grow toward senior-level ownership, infrastructure architecture, and technical decision-making.\n\nWhat We Offer\n100% Remote Work: Enjoy the freedom to work from the location that helps you thrive.
