Built for mobile-first viewing, the TrueShort app delivers premium, bingeable storytelling across true crime, romance, thriller, drama, fantasy, and more.\nBacked by $12M from Keith Rabois at Khosla Ventures, Jeffrey Katzenberg (Founder of DreamWorks), Scott Belsky (Founder of Behance), Brian Halligan (Founder of HubSpot), and General Catalyst.\nWe're reimagining how modern audiences discover and experience great stories.\nRole Overview\nWe’re looking for a Creative Technologist who can independently design, test, and optimize generative AI workflows in a fast-moving production environment.\nThis role sits at the intersection of creative intent and technical execution, owning pipeline design, model experimentation, and workflow refinement across multiple genres.\nYou’ll operate across all creative pods as both a builder and a guide, translating creative briefs into structured AI systems while helping scale our production capabilities.\nThis person will also stay on the cutting edge of AI media, continuously testing new tools and workflows, presenting findings, and helping position TrueShort as a leader in the space.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, build, and maintain end-to-end AI workflows for image and video generation\n\nBuild repeatable templates for shot production across series\n\nIntegrate ControlNet systems (depth, pose, motion, segmentation) into workflows\n\nManage model versioning, LoRA stacks, and asset consistency\n\nTest and evaluate new AI tools, models, and creative workflows\n\nPresent findings and workflow improvements to internal teams\n\nAct as a technical resource across creative pods\n\nBuild relationships with leading AI platforms and contribute to thought leadership in the space\n\nEstablish and maintain a public-facing presence for TrueShort’s innovation and R&D efforts, showcasing workflows, insights, and creative advancements\n\nTools & Skills\nStrong experience with ComfyUI\n\nSolid working knowledge of Python (automation, scripting, debugging)\n\nDeep understanding of latent diffusion workflows and VAE decoding\n\nExperience with ControlNet variants and model conditioning techniques\n\nFamiliarity with AI tools (Midjourney, Nano Banana, Seedream, etc.)\n\nExperience with AI video tools (Kling, Veo, Seedance, Runway, etc.)\n\nStrong awareness of the AI filmmaking community on X, with the ability to track emerging workflows, tools, and techniques in real time\n\nNice to Have\nExperience in film, animation, or VFX environments\n\nFamiliarity with Nuke, Blender, Unreal, or similar tools\n\nUnderstanding of color pipelines and high bit-depth workflows\n\nActive presence in the AI community (X, research, or publishing insights)\n\nCompensation\nFull Time: $120,000 -
