This role owns team execution, technical direction, delivery quality, and cross-functional alignment for mobile and web products spanning iOS, Android, and Web, including consumer-focused flows that bring together Device Intelligence, KYC Docs, KYC Data, EID, and future identity capabilities. You will partner closely with Product, Design, Sales, Solutions, Platform, and senior technical leadership to turn business priorities into reliable, customer-ready mobile and web experiences.\nThis role is expected to leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve productivity, enhance decision-making, and continuously optimize how work is performed.\nThis will be a full-time, permanent position working out of the Vancouver or San Diego office on a hybrid model (3 days per week in the office).\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nLead and coach a team of engineers across iOS, Android, and Web, building an accountable, collaborative team culture that performs under deadline pressure.\n\nOwn mobile and web delivery end to end - from discovery through release - including planning, sequencing, risk management, and stakeholder alignment.\n\nSet technical direction for mobile and web architecture, integration patterns, and quality standards, and hold the team to a high delivery bar.\n\nPartner with Product and UX to shape customer-focused mobile and web experiences that are practical to build and aligned to Trulioo's product strategy.\n\nCoordinate across backend, platform, identity, data, and go-to-market teams to keep mobile and web work aligned with business priorities and customer commitments.\n\nEstablish and maintain engineering practices for code quality, automated testing, release readiness, observability, accessibility, and performance.\n\nLeverage AI and emerging technologies to improve productivity, streamline workflows, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement while ensuring the responsible, secure, and compliant use of AI tools.\n\nIntroduce and scale a shared AI-assisted workflow across the team - for code review, testing, or documentation - and hold a clear bar for catching and correcting weak AI output before it ships.\n\nWhat You'll Bring:\nBSc degree in computer science, engineering, or another STEM field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.\n\n5+ years of software engineering experience, including native mobile, web development, or adjacent product delivery.\n\n2+ years of experience in a technical leadership, team leadership, or engineering management capacity.\n\nStrong people leadership skills, with the ability to coach engineers, unblock delivery, and give clear, actionable feedback.\n\nStrong technical judgment, with the ability to make architecture and implementation tradeoffs under real delivery constraints.\n\nStrong communication skills, with the ability to connect technical work to customer value and business impact.\n\nExperience with the following tools/technology: Swift, Kotlin, React, TypeScript, React Native, and Kotlin Multiplatform.\n\nDemonstrated experience introducing or scaling a shared AI-assisted workflow, template, or tool within a team, with a clear process for catching and correcting weak AI output.\n\nNice to Have:\nExperience integrating mobile and web apps with identity, verification, fintech, risk, or compliance-oriented platforms.\n\nExperience with App Store / Play Store release processes, feature flags, analytics, crash reporting, and product observability.\n\nExperience with cloud-backed mobile and web applications, microservices, APIs, and secure data handling.\n\nInterview Process:\nRecruiter Interview: 30 minutes\n\nHiring Manager Interview: 45-60 minutes\n\nPanel/Assignment/Presentation: 60 minutes\n\nFinal Leadership Interview: 30-45 minutes\n\nThriving at Trulioo\nAt Trulioo, you’re not just an employee.
