The position will ensure products are produced according to established customer and quality requirements and maintain records of assembly process, progress, and problems. This is a moderately supervised position with some latitude for independent judgment. The position will perform complex tasks, regularly complete assignments with little to no assistance and may assist less-experienced peers. This position is divided into three classifications: Manufacturing Assembler 1,2,3. The compensation pay band includes and is based on level of skills, knowledge, and experience. \nManufacturing Assembler 1 is the entry-level into the manufacturing career series. \nManufacturing Assembler 2 is the mid-range of the career series with 2-4 years of experience. \nDuties and Responsibilities\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities, who are otherwise qualified, to perform the essential functions.\nAssemble products using pre-established guidelines, instructions, and documentation (diagrams, work instructions, drawings, etc.).\nWork with small hand tools such as, electric drivers, torque tools, wire strippers, cutters, tweezers, and use measuring devices such as spacers and assembly fixtures.\nCrimp, stake, screw, bolt, epoxy, fasten, align, adjust, press fit or perform similar operations to join or secure parts in place, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment.\nMount assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets on printed circuit boards and chassis.\nConnect wires between connectors, terminals and contact points.\nMay perform assembly operations under microscope or other magnifying devices.\nPerform online go-no-go testing and inspection, using magnifying devices, measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment, to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.\nLearn through hands on training while focusing on achieving necessary level of proficiency.\nReport repetitive assembly problems and propose solutions to resolve them.\nWork efficiently to finish jobs in a timely manner.\nWork under the supervision of Lead or Manager.\nWork collaboratively and cooperatively with other departments: Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials, Quality, etc.\nDocument all work performed on product within the ERP system.\nAdhere to established Company procedures and policies, work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.\nAdhere to and improve safety standards.\nManage workstation and practice good housekeeping techniques.\nStrive for continual improvement to quality.\nPosition Requirements\nHigh School diploma/GED required.\n0-2 years relevant experience.\nAbility to read and understand schematics and work instructions.\nManual dexterity and ability to use common hand tools, and some necessary test tools.\nBasic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)\nStrong communication skills (verbal and written), as well as strong organizational skills.\nExcellent organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills.\nMust have a level of computer literacy to track the progress of your work in a digital environment using a PC or Tablet.\nThis position may be asked to drive for company purposes during the course of employment.
