This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced industry professional.\nPreparation of the Quarterly and Annual Financial Statements. \nLead the monthly general ledger closing process to ensure accurate and timely financial results for management reviews. \nDevelop and maintain the Financial Statements process documentation to ensure compliance with internal controls and incorporate the best-in-class industry practices. \nWork closely with the management team to develop and maintain a governance framework for review of the Financial Statements\nWork closely with external auditors to ensure quarterly and annual audit is completed timely and effectively.\nAnalyze financial results, prepare variance analysis and ensure integrity and accuracy of the IFRS financial statements and related notes.\nLead the implementation of new, and adherence to, IFRS financial reporting requirements, including researching and providing guidance to business.\nLead the development, implementation, and enhancements of internal controls, and ensure adherence to corporate policies and directives for Financial Statements.\nDevelop the processes for automation of the Financial Statements using adaptive insights. \nManage and/or participate in ad hoc projects (enhancements, process improvement initiatives etc.), as required.\nWhat we’re looking for:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.\nA professional accounting designation preferred.\nProgressive relevant work experience (5 to 10 years) involving product accounting, working with external and internal auditors.\nA minimum of 5 years’ experience at a large financial institution and experience working for a multinational corporation.\nFinancial analysis skills and experience.\nStrong attention to detail and documentation skills.\nStrong knowledge of technical accounting (IFRS) and internal control principles.\nProficient in MS Office, specifically advanced skills in Excel.\nDemonstrated leadership skills, with ability to influence and gain support for objectives.\nSelf-motivated individual capable of adapting to change, managing multiple tasks and continuously evaluating priorities to lead tasks/projects to completion.\nWhat you’ll love about working here:\nAward-Winning Culture: We’re proud to be recognized as a Great Place to Work Canada 2025 and one of Montreal’s Top Employers 2025 by Canada’s Top 100 Employers.\n\nWork-Life Balance: Enjoy flexibility with our hybrid work model designed to support your lifestyle.\n\nCompensation Package: Competitive base salary\n\nExclusive Perks: Discounts from top retailers via WorkPerks, plus location-based perks like gym memberships and Toronto Bike Share.\n\nOn-Site Fitness: Gym access at our London and Montreal offices.\n\nFor more information on who we are as an employer click here.\n\nIf what you read excites you, we’d like to hear from you!
