Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities, who are otherwise qualified, to perform the essential functions.\nBuild, Test & Document electro-mechanical components and systems, includingCable development and assembly (i.e. - signal, power, communications)\nPCBA Soldering\nMechanical Assembly\nAssist in maintaining accurate Bill of Materials and inventory management for Engineering\n\nBuild, test, and document production and test cables based on requirements defined by internal and external customers.\nTechnical support for engineering Prototype and LRIP Phases.\nTroubleshoot mechanical and/or electrical issues during prototype and LRIP phases while working with Engineering to identify root cause and resolve issues.\nSupport engineering product verification testing.\nAssist in the building of engineering assembly and test fixtures to release to Manufacturing.\nCapture and formally document engineering changes during Engineering and LRIP builds in addition to sustaining project support.\nOther duties assigned as workloads change within multiple departments.\n\nPosition Requirements\nHigh school diploma and 10+ years’ experience in a relevant technician role\nTechnician experience in an Engineering and/or Manufacturing environment\nStrong mechanical and electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills\nStrong working knowledge of test equipment usage (i.e. - DMM, Oscilloscope, Power Analyzer,…)\nSelf-starter with a drive for continual improvement\nProfessional written and verbal communication, and strong interpersonal skills\nActive participation in team meetings\nFamiliarity with MRP/ERP\nThis position may be asked to drive for company purposes during the course of employment. If asked and agreed upon, employees must possess a valid California Driver’s License and clean driving record.\nMay Participate in the identity verification process to access secure client or government portals by authorizing certified supplier or customer management platforms to obtain information from your personal credit profile or other information, solely to verify your identity. \nSkill Requirements\nSoldering (J-STD-001 for soldering workmanship preferred)\nWorking knowledge of connectors and connector pin-outs\nProficiency in cable assembly\nMechanical and electrical component familiarity\nProficiency in reading mechanical drawings and electrical schematics\nProficiency with hand tools, including connector pin crimping\nExperience with machine tools, metal fabrication, welding\nProficiency with Microsoft applications\nAbility to create electrical models and schematics (Altium) preferred.\nAbility to create mechanical models and drawings (SolidWorks) preferred.\nPhysical Requirements\nHearing and speaking to exchange information in person, on the telephone or virtually.\nDexterity of hands, fingers, and wrist to operate a computer keyboard, calculator, or assemble/manufacture intricate items.\nSeeing to read a variety of materials.\nSitting or standing for extended period of time.\nPhysical agility to lift up to 50 pounds to shoulder height.
