Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities, who are otherwise qualified, to perform the essential functions.\nAnalyze new and existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement, including waste reduction, streamlining workflows, and optimizing resource utilization.\nDesign and implement new or improved manufacturing systems, processes, and layouts to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality.\nDiagram and evaluate new and existing processes, develop metrics that provide data for process measurement, and identify indicators to drive future improvement opportunities\nCollect and analyze data related to production processes, including time studies, work sampling, and statistical data analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.\nEstimate production costs, identify cost-saving measures, and evaluate the impact of design changes on expenditures.\nEnsure that work processes engaged with are safe and ergonomic and address any potential safety hazards.\nCollaborate with other departments, such as manufacturing, design engineering, and quality assurance, to develop and implement solutions.\nManage projects related to process improvements, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.\nWork with our manufacturing engineering team and supporting organizations to ensure Lean Manufacturing principles are incorporated into factory design and layout\nPlan and implement process improvement initiatives, such as Lean or Six Sigma\nResearch and analyze best practices for techniques and processes\nHelp ensure that the company's financial goals are met through timely completion of projects, process improvements, overhead reduction and other initiatives\nCollect and evaluate performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.\nDevelop work cell layout and tooling/equipment requirements, using Lean Six Sigma and 5S+1 principles.\nEstablish Value Stream Maps of the build and test processes during early product phases, then iterate those maps during changes in volume and product configurations.\nLead and support kaizen events\nPosition Requirements\nBachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or an equivalent discipline\n10-15 years’ experience in Industrial Engineering or Continuous Improvement\nGreen-Belt or Lean Bronze certification preferred\nProficiency with Lean Manufacturing concepts and practice\nProficiency with time studies\nProficiency with Visio or Value Stream Mapping\nProficiency in data collection and analysis tools\nFamiliarity with project management\nFamiliarity with aerospace manufacturing\nFamiliarity with manufacturing systems (ERP, MES, PowerBI, etc.)\nFamiliarity with mechanical or electrical drawings/schematics\nProfessional written and verbal interpersonal communication skills\nHigh attention to detail, analytical\nAbility to perform the above duties with minimal supervision\nDemonstrated experience in high-paced, multi-faceted working environments with frequent changes in priority and responsibility.\nMay participate in the identity verification process to access secure client or government portals by authorizing certified supplier or customer management platforms to obtain information from your personal credit profile or other information, solely to verify your identity. \nPhysical Requirements\nHearing and speaking to exchange information in person, on the telephone or virtually.\nDexterity of hands, fingers, and wrist to operate a computer keyboard, calculator, or assemble/manufacture intricate items.\nSeeing to read a variety of materials.\nSitting or standing for extended period of time.\nPhysical agility to lift up to 30 pounds to shoulder height.
