Design is the heart of this role: you'll own the user experience end to end, from UX research and flows to high-fidelity UI, and pair it with the technical product judgment to get it built well.\nOur users are risk managers, AP teams, property managers and the vendors who upload documents to them. Many aren't software people. You'll turn complex compliance work - requirements, certificates, deficiencies, renewals - into screens that feel simple, then work side by side with engineering to ship them.\nThis is a hands-on role for someone who designs in Figma in the morning and talks through an API contract with engineers in the afternoon.\nWhat you'll do\nDesign (about 60% of the role)\nOwn the end-to-end UX for core workflows: setting insurance requirements, reviewing certificates, resolving deficiencies and the vendor upload portal.\nRun user research: customer interviews, usability tests and reviews of how people actually use the product.\nTurn findings into user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes and polished, developer-ready UI in Figma.\nBuild and maintain TrustLayer's design system - components, patterns and guidelines - so the product looks and works consistently.\nDesign clear, trustworthy experiences for AI-assisted features, such as showing how a certificate was read and what needs a human check.\nMake accessibility and plain language standard in everything we ship.\nReview builds with engineers and sweat the details until the shipped product matches the intent.\nProduct management\nOwn the roadmap for your product areas and write clear specs with user stories, acceptance criteria and edge cases.\nPartner with engineering leadership on scope, sequencing and technical trade-offs, including API and data model decisions.\nWork with Customer Success and Sales to find the problems worth solving and validate solutions early.\nDefine success metrics for each release and use product data (SQL, analytics tools) to measure results.\nCoordinate launches with release notes, demos and enablement for customer-facing teams.\nWhat you bring\nA portfolio showing B2B or SaaS product design work, with your process from problem to shipped result.\n5+ years of combined experience in product design and product management, with at least 3 years designing complex web applications.\nExpert skills in Figma, including components, auto layout and interactive prototyping.\nExperience planning and running user research and usability testing, and turning findings into design decisions.\nStrong interaction and visual design fundamentals: information hierarchy, data-heavy tables and forms, and responsive layouts.\nWorking technical knowledge: REST APIs, relational data models and how front-end components are built.
