And with a strong presence across Europe and the Americas, we are leading the human centric payment revolution as a truly global team.\nThis role is in the Financial Reporting and Accounting team, part of the Group Internal Finance team at Trustly, which also comprises Tax, Treasury, Payroll, Finance Operations and Finance Systems. The team has an ethos of collaboration and continued improvement at its heart.\nABOUT THE ROLE\nThis is a great opportunity for a qualified accountant with solid IFRS experience in industry to join our Financial Reporting and Accounting team on a fixed term basis, covering a period of increased workload within the team. You will take ownership of month-end and year-end close for a portfolio of entities, working closely with more senior members of the team and applying your existing technical accounting expertise from day one.\nKey Responsibilities\nMonth End Close: Own the month end close process for assigned entities, preparing journals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules to a high standard and in compliance with relevant accounting standards.\n\nFinancial Reporting: Preparing monthly/quarterly/annual commentaries for Balance Sheet and P&L variances.\n\nAudit Liaison: Support the year end audit process.\n\nOther: Actively participate in finance related projects, implement process improvements and collaborate closely with the wider Finance team, building relationships across Reporting, Tax, Treasury and FinOps.\n\nQualifications\nThe successful candidate will have:\nAvailability to start on a short notice period.\n\nQualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent, e.g. ROC for Portugal based candidates).\n\nSolid IFRS experience gained in an industry setting, with a strong understanding of how standards apply in a commercial context.\n\nProven experience owning month end close processes end to end.\n\nExcellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.\n\nGood working knowledge of Excel; exposure to accounting systems such as Netsuite is a plus but not essential.\n\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced international environment.\n\nShape Your Role and Make an Impact\nJoin a dynamic environment where you can take ownership, drive change, and continuously embrace new challenges.
