Trustly’s European business operates primarily through Trustly Group AB (TGAB), a licensed payment institution based in Stockholm and supervised by the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen).\nAs the Risk Manager, you will act as Head of Risk for Trustly’s EU and UK regulated entities, leading second-line risk oversight, stakeholder engagement and Board reporting, supported by the Global Enterprise Risk Management framework.\nThis role is suited to a seasoned second-line risk professional with experience in regulated financial/payment institutions, ideally with experience of engaging with regulators.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO\nAct as head of risk for Trustly's EU and UK regulated entities, acting as an independent second-line function.\n\nChallenge first-line risk owners and report regularly to senior management and the Board on risk profile, appetite breaches and emerging risks.\n\nOwn a single view of the second-line risk environment across the EU/UK regulated entities.\n\nImplement and exercise the enterprise risk management framework in the EU/UK regulated entities, including contribution to standardised reporting including Key Risk Indicators.\n\nWork with first line risk owners and lead the identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting of risks identified, and undertake Risk and Control Self Assessments.\n\nContribute to the annual risk assessment and assurance planning.\n\nEnsure risk processes meet the expectations of the relevant supervisors (for example the ACPR or Finansinspektionen) and the applicable EU frameworks.\n\nServe as a primary point of contact toward the relevant EU and UK regulators/supervisors on risk matters, representing the function confidently and credibly.\n\nWHO YOU ARE\n3-5 years experience as a second-line risk manager\n\nPayments sector experience preferred\n\nExperience engaging with EU and/or UK financial supervisory authorities is desired\n\nA confident and articulate approach, demonstrating an ability to represent the risk function credibly and build productive relationships across business teams\n\nAbility to advise and collaborate with stakeholders at various levels, including senior management and Board members.\n\nSound understanding of the EU and UK regulatory landscape relevant to payment institutions\n\nA firm grasp of the three-lines of defence model and the independence boundary between second and third line.\n\nExceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex concepts and present to senior leadership, Boards, and regulators.\n\nWillingness to work flexibly to collaborate with team members across different time zones.\n\nWHAT WE OFFER\nAt Trustly, you will have the chance to solve meaningful challenges alongside some of the brightest minds in FinTech.
