Manual QA Engineer

We are looking for a detail-oriented and quality-focused Manual QA Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our customer-facing products through comprehensive manual testing. You will work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to identify issues, improve product quality, and deliver seamless user experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end manual testing across all customer-facing web and mobile applications.
• Design, write, execute, and maintain detailed test cases, test plans, and regression test suites from scratch.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, usability, and exploratory testing.
• Validate application behaviour across multiple browsers, operating systems, and devices.
• Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman and validate REST API requests, responses, and status codes.
• Verify and validate backend data using SQL queries and database testing techniques.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to define test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for defects and work with engineering teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Track, document, and communicate bugs, risks, and quality metrics throughout the development lifecycle.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, testing methodologies, and product quality standards.

Bonus Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and test AI-powered features such as AI text assistants, voice bots, and agentic workflows.
• Create test scenarios for AI-driven user experiences and validate model outputs for accuracy and reliability.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of hands-on experience in manual testing of web and/or mobile applications.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and QA best practices.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, and request/response validation.
• Hands-on experience writing SQL queries for data validation and backend testing.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify edge cases.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience testing AI-powered products or conversational applications.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms and backend systems.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Understanding of software development lifecycles and release processes.
