You will work across container orchestration, service mesh, API gateway infrastructure, workflow orchestration, platform automation, observability, reliability, and security in Azure-based environments. \nThis opportunity requires strong software engineering fundamentals, hands-on infrastructure expertise, technical leadership, creative problem solving, and proficiency with modern open-source cloud-native technologies. \nWhat You’llDo \nLead the design, development, maintenance, and operation of cloud-native infrastructure services for Truveta’s healthcare data platform. \nBuild and operate Kubernetes-based infrastructure that supports scalable, secure, and reliable production workloads. \nDevelop platform capabilities using open-source technologies such as Kubernetes, Conductor, Istio, Kong, and related cloud-native tools. \nDesign and operate infrastructure services on Microsoft Azure. \nDrive automation, tooling, and operational improvements that increase engineering velocity and platform reliability. \nImprove observability through structured logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, alerting, and service health monitoring. \nLead troubleshooting, incident response, root-cause analysis, and production issue resolution for infrastructure services. \nPartner with product engineers, security teams, architects, and engineering leaders to deliver reliable platform capabilities. \nMake sound technical decisions that balance scalability, performance, security, reliability, maintainability, and delivery speed. \nWrite clean, maintainable code and configuration for infrastructure services, automation, and platform tooling. \nEstablish and improve operational practices, deployment guidance, runbooks, and engineering standards. \nMentor engineers, provide technical guidance, and help build team expertise in Azure and open-source infrastructure technologies. \nEvaluate and adopt open-source technologies where they improve Truveta’s platform capabilities. \nKey Qualifications \nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. \n7+ years of professional software engineering, infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud engineering experience. \nSignificant experience developing, maintaining, and operating production infrastructure or platform services. \nStrong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native infrastructure. \nExperience with open-source infrastructure technologies such as service mesh, API gateways, workflow orchestration, or container orchestration platforms. \nExperience managing infrastructure and platform services on Microsoft Azure. \nStrong understanding of CI/CD, automation, infrastructure as code, GitOps, monitoring, and operational best practices. \nSolid understanding of networking, security, identity, access control, and distributed systems concepts. \nExperience troubleshooting complex production issues across infrastructure, services, networking, data stores, and distributed systems. \nAbility to lead technical discussions, influence infrastructure design decisions, and mentor other engineers. \nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver reliable infrastructure in a fast-moving engineering environment. \nEffective communication and collaboration skills. \nPreferred Qualifications \nDeep hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure and Azure services. \nProficiency with Kubernetes, Istio, Kong, Conductor, or similar open-source platform technologies. \nExperience developing automation or tooling using C#, .NET, Go, Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages. \nExperience with infrastructure as code, deployment automation, GitOps, and CI/CD systems. \nExperience with observability tools and practices, including logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, and service health monitoring. \nExperience operating high-scale production infrastructure and participating in on-call support. \nExperience contributing to open-source projects or committing to open-source repositories. \nExperience with large-scale data platforms, distributed systems, analytics platforms, healthcare platforms, or regulated environments. \nInterest in building reliable infrastructure that improves healthcare outcomes and helps save lives with
