You will work across QA, Product, Engineering, and Technical Writing to take promising experiments from idea to reliable, maintainable solutions.\nThis is a hands-on role with real ownership and visible impact. You will have the freedom to explore new tools and approaches, and the responsibility to turn the best of them into systems the wider team can trust.\nWhat you will do\nThe role is expected to focus approximately 70-80% on QA and 20-30% on documentation automation.\nExpand and strengthen automated testing. Improve how we run QA through automated tests, AI-generated test cases, and smarter validation, enabling the QA team to focus more on functionality and the user journey.\n\nEmbed quality earlier in development. Integrate automated QA into development and release pipelines so issues are identified while the code is still being built-not just before release.\n\nKeep documentation aligned with the product. Build systems that generate and update product and technical documentation from structured product information, with reliable checks before anything is published.\n\nExplore, evaluate, and scale new approaches. Test tools, frameworks, and integrations, learn quickly from what does not work, and turn successful experiments into dependable team workflows.\n\nImprove the system, not only the outcome. Use test results and recurring quality issues to identify root causes and improve the processes behind them.\n\nYour guiding question\nWhere manual work is still needed, can it be automated, AI-assisted, or built directly into the development workflow?\nYou will own the automation pipeline, but you will not start from zero. We already have several Claude skills for QA testing and a foundation of Playwright tests. The next stage, and much of how it develops, will be yours to shape.\nYou will have colleagues around you to help define the work, develop ideas, and build solutions. What we need from you is ownership: someone who takes initiative, creates momentum, and makes sure promising ideas become part of how we work.\nYou will report to the Director, Product Development, Commerce.\nWhat you bring\nYou combine a strong foundation in QA or software development with technical curiosity and a practical approach to innovation. You do not need to match every point below, we value potential, sound judgement, and the ability to learn quickly.\nAt least three years of experience in software QA, test automation, software development, or a similarly technical field.\n\nHands-on experience with AI tools, LLMs, or AI-assisted development, together with a realistic understanding of their strengths and limitations.\n\nExperience building integrations, scripts, or automated workflows in CI/CD environments.\n\nA solid understanding of automated testing principles and modern release processes.\n\nConfidence working with APIs, structured data, and developer tooling.\n\nWho you are\nYou are curious and proactive, with a natural drive to explore new tools and better ways of working.\n\nYou take ownership, create momentum, and turn promising ideas into reliable solutions.\n\nYou work in a structured way and enjoy making complex information and processes easier to manage.\n\nYou are pragmatic and know how to balance experimentation with the need to deliver dependable results.\n\nYou collaborate well across disciplines and build trust by sharing knowledge and involving others.\n\nYou do not need to be an expert developer. Using AI-assisted development to build a working tool is welcome, provided the result is reliable, maintainable, and useful to the team.
