This position plays a critical role in achieving our strategic objectives. Trystar’s Brake Press Operator position is an important part of Trystar’s plan to become the world’s foremost custom solution provider.\nUnder the direction of the Production Supervisor, the Brake Press Operator will be responsiblefor operating press brake machines to bend, shape, and form sheet metal or other materials according to engineering drawings and specifications. Ensure the machine is correctly calibrated and aligned for accurate bending operations.\nMaterial Handling: Position and align sheet metal or other materials on the press brake bed, ensuring proper placement for precise bending.\nBending Operations: Operate the press brake machine to bend or form materials as per engineering drawings and specifications. This includes selecting the appropriate tooling, adjusting machine settings, and monitoring the bending process.\nQuality Control: Regularly inspect bent components to verify dimensional accuracy and quality, using measuring instruments such as calipers and gauges.\nTool Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on press brake tooling, ensuring they are in good condition and replacing them when necessary.\nTroubleshooting: Identify and resolve minor issues or deviations that may occur during the bending process, such as material inconsistencies or machine malfunctions.\nSafety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while operating the press brake machine, ensuring compliance with company and industry safety regulations.\nProduction Monitoring: Monitor the bending process to maintain a steady workflow and promptly address any deviations or inefficiencies.\nDocumentation: Accurately record production data in Epicor, machine settings, and maintenance activities to maintain production records and assist in process improvement efforts. This also includes daily production reports, tally sheets, scrap reports, etc.\nCollaboration: Coordinate with other team members, including supervisors, engineers, and quality control personnel, to ensure smooth production flow and meet production targets.\nRead, comprehend, and execute processes and procedures according to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) which are necessary to properly operate the equipment and manufacture the product. \nRead and interpret Solidworks engineering drawings as needed for accurate and safe brake operation.\nMaintain and operate hand tools necessary to set-up, take apart and to operate the equipment.\nProcess Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve bending processes, reduce cycle times, and enhance overall efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards.\nPerform other projects and duties as assigned.\nJob Requirements:\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS\n2 years’ experience in machine operation or mechanical ability and aptitude to understand how manufacturing equipment works together in a line to produce high quality products.\n2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment or have general knowledge of metalworking, bending and tooling.\nAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.\nMust be able to read, write and comprehend plant directives written in English.\nProficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.\nADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS\nHigh school diploma\nTechnical secondary education is preferred. \nPrevious Brake Press Operation is preferred.\nPerform simple mathematics to comprehend and interpret process sheets, SOP manuals, tally sheets, etc. and to keep accurate account of materials used during manufacturing process including scrap amounts.\nFrequent lifting, standing, bending & reaching required\nAble to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test\nMust adhere to all the PPE requirements to perform the job safely, this includes but is not limited to, Eye, Hand, Feet, and Hearing
