This role is responsible for securing Trystar’s cloud, infrastructure, endpoint, identity, and operational technology environments while enabling business growth, innovation, and operational excellence.\nThe ideal candidate combines strong hands-on cybersecurity expertise with strong engineering and risk management capabilities. investigation, containment, remediation, and recovery activities.\nServe as the primary technical resource during security incidents.\nDevelop and maintain incident response playbooks and procedures.\nPartner with internal stakeholders, external partners, cyber insurance providers, and forensic teams during investigations.\nConduct threat hunting and root cause analysis activities.\nDrive continuous improvements to security monitoring and alerting capabilities.\nIdentity & Endpoint Security:\nOwn and enhance identity security controls across Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory environments.\nLead implementation and management of Conditional Access, Multifactor Authentication (MFA), Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and FIDO2 passwordless authentication.\nSecure endpoint environments through Microsoft Defender and Intune.\nEstablish identity governance and privileged access standards.\nPartner with Digital & IT Teams to implement least-privilege access models.\nSecurity Monitoring & Threat Detection:\nOwn Microsoft Defender XDR and related security technologies.\nMonitor and investigate security events across endpoints, identities, email, cloud applications, and infrastructure.\nDevelop and maintain security dashboards, alerts, and operational reporting.\nImprove security visibility through SIEM and security analytics capabilities.\nIdentify emerging threats and implement proactive mitigation strategies.\nVulnerability & Risk Management:\nLead the enterprise vulnerability management program.\nCoordinate vulnerability scanning, remediation efforts, and risk prioritization. \nTrack and report security risks and remediation progress.\nPartner with technology teams to remediate infrastructure, cloud, application, and endpoint vulnerabilities.\nSupport third party penetration testing and security assessments.\nSecurity Architecture & Compliance:\nDesign and implement secure architecture across cloud, networking, infrastructure, and business applications.\nEstablish security standards, baselines, hardening guidelines, and operational controls.\nEvaluate new technologies, vendors, and solutions from a cybersecurity perspective.\nTranslate evolving legal, regulatory, contractual, customer, cyber insurance, and industry compliance requirements into practical cybersecurity controls, policies, evidence, and remediation plans.\nLead cybersecurity support for audits and assessments, maintain compliance evidence, identify control gaps, and coordinate remediation with control owners.\nDisaster Recovery & Cyber Resilience:\nLead and mature Trystar’s disaster recovery and cyber resilience program in partnership with infrastructure, application, business, and site leaders.\nEstablish and maintain recovery strategies, standards, roles, runbooks, system dependencies, and recovery requirements for critical technology services.\nPlan, coordinate, and document recurring disaster recovery exercises; track findings and drive corrective actions through completion.\nEnsure recovery capabilities address cyberattack scenarios, including ransomware, identity compromise, cloud service disruption, and loss of critical infrastructure.\nSecurity Vendor Management:\nWork closely with cybersecurity and technology vendors, managed service providers, consultants, and other external partners to achieve security and operational objectives.\nManage ongoing vendor relationships, including service performance, deliverables, escalations, risks, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.\nCoordinate vendor security reviews, contract and renewal input, implementation activities, and accountability for remediation commitments.\nPartner with internal stakeholders to confirm vendor services remain aligned with Trystar’s cybersecurity strategy, compliance obligations, and business needs.\nCloud Security & Modernization:\nLead security initiatives within Azure and Microsoft 365.\nImplement and maintain Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Secure Score improvements, and cloud security governance controls.\nSupport cloud migration initiatives by ensuring secure-by-design principles.\nCollaborate with infrastructure teams to develop scalable and secure cloud architectures.\nSecurity Awareness & Strategic Initiatives:\nDevelop and promote security awareness programs throughout the organization.\nConduct phishing simulations and user education activities.\nAssist with cybersecurity due diligence activities related to acquisitions and integrations.\nEstablish security metrics, KPI’s, and executive-level reporting.\nSupport Trystar’s ongoing cybersecurity maturity initiatives.\nJob Requirements:\nBasic Qualifications\n5+ years of hands-on cybersecurity engineering experience in enterprise environments.\nExperience with Microsoft security technologies including Microsoft Defender, Entra ID, Intune, Sentinel, and Microsoft 365 Security.\nExperience leading or participating in cybersecurity incident response activities.\nExperience implementing identity and access management controls.\nExperience with vulnerability management programs and remediation processes.\nStrong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and defense-in-depth principles.\nStrong knowledge of network security, firewalls, endpoint protection, email security, and cloud security.\nExperience with security monitoring and SIEM platforms.\nExcellent problem solving and analytical skills.\nStrong communication and documentation abilities.\nAbility to work independently and part of a team.\nExperience leading or materially improving disaster recovery, cyber resilience, or business continuity capabilities, including recovery planning and exercises.\nExperience aligning cybersecurity controls and programs with evolving regulatory, contractual, customer, or industry compliance requirements.\nDemonstrated experience managing security vendors, managed service providers, deliverables, escalations, and service performance.\nPreferred Qualifications\nCISSP, CISM, Security+, SC-200, SC-300, AZ-500, or equivalent security certifications.\nExperience with Microsoft Sentinel and Defender XDR.\nExperience securing Azure environments.\nExperience with manufacturing or operational technology (OT) environments.\nExperience supporting mergers and acquisitions due diligence and integrations.\nExperience with penetration testing remediation and security assessments.\nExperience with FIDO2,
