Safety and integrity aren’t just buzzwords, they are the north star guiding us as we aspire to wow our customers every day. We’ve created power solutions that are not only durable and unique but are also the result of exciting teamwork from every corner of our organization.

Individually and collectively, every team member at Trystar plays for each other and strives to deliver unmatched value and 100% accuracy to our customers every single day. Our cutting-edge headquarters is in Faribault, MN, a facility that is partially solar and wind powered by our own microgrid! Together, we are Trystar, where we power the future and nurture innovation for a brighter tomorrow.

Trystar’s team members are our most important asset, and we are in search of a Production Supervisor based at our Faribault Plant.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the fabrication department during second shift, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory, and people objectives are achieved.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong fabrication and manufacturing experience who can effectively manage production associates and team leads, drive continuous improvement, maintain production schedules, and foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and operational excellence.

We are looking for people who believe in our guiding principles and values of:

  • Safety - We believe everyone should leave Trystar facilities in the same or better condition than when they arrived.
  • Integrity - We’re honest, transparent, and committed to doing what’s right.
  • Customer focus - We have relentless focus on our customers and their success.
  • Right with speed - We use good judgement, make thoughtful decisions quickly, and execute them with purpose and intensity.
  • Play for each other - We’re a team. We show up for each other and we know that through teamwork we achieve greatness.
  • Champion change - We know adaptation and improvement are requirements to survive and to thrive.
  • Enjoy the journey - We create an environment where our team feels appreciated and has fun along the way.

In this role you will get to:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of fabrication associates and team leads on 2nd shift, fostering a culture of safety, quality, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular communication and Tier Accountability meetings to align priorities, communicate expectations, and drive performance.
  • Develop workforce capability through training and cross-training initiatives that improve flexibility, engagement, and succession readiness.
  • Oversee daily fabrication operations to ensure production schedules, productivity goals, and customer delivery commitments are achieved.
  • Monitor and drive performance against key metrics including Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Inventory, and People.
  • Manage production priorities, resolve operational bottlenecks, and coordinate resources to maintain schedule attainment.
  • Provide leadership across fabrication processes including laser cutting, turret punching, press brake operations, welding, hardware insertion, grinding, and material handling.
  • Promote and enforce safety policies through active floor presence, safety observations, audits, and timely corrective actions.
  • Lead investigations into safety, quality, and production issues, utilizing root cause analysis to drive sustainable solutions.
  • Identify, implement, and champion Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, eliminate waste, and improve operating performance.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supervising hourly production employees.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work 2nd shift hours and support overtime as needed.

Preferred skills:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Industrial Technology, or related field.
  • Experience leading fabrication operations in a sheet metal manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of press brakes, laser cutting, punching, welding, and metal fabrication processes.
  • Experience utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of production scheduling, inventory management, and capacity planning.
  • Proven ability to build high-performing teams and develop frontline leaders.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Epicor ERP experience preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
