We are seeking a Quality Engineer for our Faribault facility who enjoys working as a member of the site team to support, improve, and drive our quality standards. This position is responsible for the overall quality of manufactured products and processes. We show up for each other, and we know that through teamwork we achieve greatness.\nChampion change - We know adaptation and improvement are requirements to survive and to thrive.\nEnjoy the journey - We create an environment where our team feels appreciated and has fun along the way.\nJob Responsibilities:\nProvide manufacturing quality support to improve FPY and OTD.\nAnalyze returned materials and warranty data to assist with RMA determinations.\nOffer technical assistance regarding process capability, defect detection, and prevention strategies.\nSupport the creation and implementation of quality procedures, specifications, and metrics to ensure products consistently exceed requirements.\nEngage in product release cycles to ensure manufacturability and process controls are fully realized.\nDrive cross-functional collaboration to create, update, and maintain process control plans and FMEAs.\nAnalyze non-conformances, determine Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and lead structured problem-solving using 8D or 5 Whys methodologies.\nFacilitate cross-functional efforts to systematically mitigate risk in identified problem areas.\nAssist with process improvement and compliance initiatives to deliver high-quality products consistently and on time.\nParticipate in continuous improvement projects to eliminate scrap, reduce rework, and optimize inspection processes.\nCoordinate and execute updates for ISO 9001:2015 QMS processes and procedures.\nJob Requirements:\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline (Electrical Engineering preferred)\nExperience: 3+ years in an ISO 9001-certified manufacturing environment\nTechnical Skills:\nStrong understanding of manufacturing and assembly methods, including fixtures, tooling, fabrication, gaging methodology, and metrology. \nAbility to read and interpret one-line diagrams, schematics, and ladder diagrams. \nProficiency in reviewing engineering specifications and blueprints to ensure product conformance. \nFamiliarity with electrical terminology and standards, and ability to apply them to products.\nADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS\nProficient in Microsoft 365 and ERP/MRP systems (Epicor experience preferred)\nAwareness of electrical standards or compliance certifications in power systems (UL, ETL, CSA)\nSix Sigma / DMAIC experience and exposure to statistical methods (probability and statistics)\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.\nExcellent team facilitation and leadership skills, including motivating cross-functional teams on improvement projects.\nASQ CQE\nTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS\nUp to 15% domestic travel.\nBenefits:\n401 (k) with company match\nMedical Insurance\nDental Insurance\nVision Insurance\nDisability Insurance\nPTO\nSick Time\nEmployee Appreciation Time\nPaid Holidays\nTrystar is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment.
