Instructors may be required to develop customized training curriculum and /or provide instruction for workforce development and industrial training clients.Essential Functions\nEmployee will demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students and members of the community.\nDevelop curriculum for a variety of educational projects including but not limited to continuing education, apprenticeships, contract and industrial training, and other special training projects, as well as international programs.\nDeliver instruction for a variety of educational projects including but not limited to continuing education, apprenticeships, contract and industrial training, and other special training projects, as well as international programs.\nComplete documentation including grades, etc., as required by the supervisor.\nOther duties as assigned\nThe Workforce Training Instructor - is responsible for delivering high-quality, industry-focused training to adult learners, employers, and workforce development participants throughout the state of Texas. This part-time position provides instruction in business, management, leadership, project management, workplace communication, customer service, critical thinking, quality improvement, office technology, and other professional skills.\nThe instructor will facilitate engaging, practical learning experiences designed to help participants develop skills that can be immediately applied in the workplace. Training may be delivered in person at employer or campus locations throughout Texas.\nThe successful candidate will bring a combination of professional experience, instructional ability, and practical knowledge of today’s workplace. The position requires significant statewide travel and the ability to adapt training content and delivery methods to meet the needs of diverse industries, organizations, and adult learners.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nDeliver instructor-led workforce training programs for adult learners in business, leadership, management, professional development, technology, and workplace skills.\nFacilitate courses in areas such as: Management Fundamentals, Leadership and Supervisory Skills, Workplace Communication, Professionalism in the Workplace, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving, Office Management , Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Internet and workplace technology. \nDeliver both introductory and intermediate/advanced training based on participant skill levels and employer needs.\nFacilitate interactive learning activities, discussions, demonstrations, simulations, group exercises, and hands-on activities.\nMaintain current knowledge of business practices, leadership principles, project management methodologies, workplace technology, quality improvement practices, and emerging workforce trends.\nWork with workforce development staff and employer partners to understand training objectives and customize instructional content when appropriate.\nProvide a professional and engaging learning environment that encourages participation, collaboration, critical thinking, and practical application.\nRepresent the institution professionally when delivering training at employer worksites, campuses, conferences, and other locations.\nTravel extensively throughout Texas to provide on-site workforce training.\nMaintain flexibility to accommodate varying training schedules, locations, and employer needs.\nPerform other related duties as assigned.\nKnowledge and Skills\nThe successful candidate should demonstrate knowledge and/or professional experience in several of the following areas:\nBusiness operations and organizational functions\nManagement and supervision\nLeadership development\nProject management principles and methodologies\nTeam development and conflict resolution\nWorkplace communication\nCustomer service\nCritical thinking and problem solving\nContinuous improvement and quality management\nWorkforce development and adult learning\nMicrosoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint\nProfessional workplace practices\nTechnology and digital workplace tools\nOrganizational planning and decision-making\nMinimum Qualifications\nAssociate’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Management, Organizational Leadership, Human Resources, Project Management, Workforce Development, Education, Information Technology, or a related field OR an equivalent combination of education and directly related professional experience.\n Three (3) years of professional experience in business, management, leadership, project management, workforce development, training, operations, technology, or a related field.\nDemonstrated experience presenting, facilitating, training, teaching, or delivering professional development to adults.\nDemonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.\nStrong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.\nAbility to develop and deliver engaging instructional presentations and activities.\nAbility to communicate complex concepts in a clear and practical manner.\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple training assignments and priorities.\nValid driver’s license and reliable transportation.\nAbility and willingness to travel extensively throughout the state of Texas.\nWork Environment and Travel\nThis is a part-time, statewide workforce training position.
