Motiva is wholly owned by Aramco, one of the world’s largest integrated energy and chemicals companies.\nPosition Overview:\nMotiva’s Port Arthur Manufacturing Complex is seeking skilled Instrument Technicians to join the Refinery Maintenance team. In this role, you will support safe, reliable, and efficient refinery operations by installing, troubleshooting, calibrating, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of process control and instrumentation equipment.\nThis is a Department of Transportation (DOT) regulated position, and is subject to drug and alcohol testing in compliance with DOT regulations.\nResponsibilities:\nTroubleshoot, calibrate, and repair process instrumentation, including pressure, temperature, level, and flow measurement devices.\nMaintain, configure, and repair electronic transmitters, analyzers, and control systems.\nTroubleshoot, calibrate, and repair control valves, actuators, regulators, and switching valves.\nDiagnose and repair safety shutdown and emergency control systems.\nPerform preventative and predictive maintenance on refinery instrumentation equipment.\nOverhaul, repair, and calibrate displacer level controls and related instrumentation.\nRead and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.\nDocument maintenance activities and update equipment records using computerized maintenance systems.\nPartner with Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to resolve reliability and performance issues.\nSupport equipment commissioning, turnarounds, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nAdhere to all safety, environmental, and operational procedures while performing maintenance activities.\nExperience and Qualifications:\nRequired Education and Experience:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent education\n3+ years of experience working as an Instrument Technician OR must have an Associate’s degree or equivalent certification in Instrumentation or Analyzer Technology\nValid driver’s license\nMust currently hold or be able to qualify to receive a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Card\nPreferred Education and Experience:\nExperience working with analyzers, including gas chromatographs, sampling systems, CEMS analyzers and other analytical instruments\nPhysical Requirements:\nWilling and able to work outside in inclement weather with or without accommodation\nWilling and able to work in compact and confined spaces with or without accommodation\nMust be willing and able to work at heights, walk on high elevation grating and to walk up and down stairs with or without accommodation\nMotiva emphasizes safety in all phases of its business, therefore, with proper training, you must be willing to use safe lifting techniques to lift 50 pounds from the ground to waist level with or without accommodation\nMust be willing and able to work in self-contained breathing apparatus\nThis role is subject to a pre-hire physical abilities test.\nOther Requirements:\nMust be willing and able to work overtime, holidays, nights, and weekends\nMust be willing and able to be on call and meet callout standards to respond to site responsibilities and emergencies\nMust support and comply with the company's drug free work environment, which will include random drug screenings\nMust support and comply with the company's harassment free work environment policy\nMust support and comply with the company's safety policies and initiatives\nMust support and comply with the company's diversity and inclusion work environment policies\nWe reserve the right to amend or withdraw Motiva jobs at any time, including prior to the closing date.
