Motiva is wholly owned by Aramco, one of the world’s largest integrated energy and chemicals companies.\nPosition Overview:\nMotiva is seeking Process Operators to join our Refinery and Chemicals facility in Port Arthur. The Process Operator is responsible for monitoring, controlling, and conducting activities that pertain to unit operation and taking corrective action when necessary to ensure that all unit conditions and operations are in compliance with Motiva safety, environmental, and operating policies and procedures.\nResponsibilities:\nOperate process related systems within critical limits.\nImplement Operating Procedures to ensure operational control and product quality.\nConduct visual inspection of piping and equipment in assigned area and take corrective action if deficiencies are found.\nMonitor, adjust, and record process variables as required to ensure safe, reliable, and environmentally compliant operations.\nSelect, use, and maintain personal protective equipment.\nComplete all compliance activities on time (i.e. mandatory training, hearing tests, respirator fit test, medical evaluations, etc.).\nEnsure reliability centered maintenance is performed.\nSecure or remove all equipment according to Inclement Weather Procedures.\nIssue permits for all activities within the assigned process area in accordance with the Permit Procedure.\nControl personnel entry into and around assigned operating area through the use of documentation and barricades as detailed in procedures.\nCheck all piping to ensure blinds and/or plugs are in place.\nDocument all pertinent shift activities in end-of-shift write-up.\nExperience and Qualifications:\nRequired Education and Experience:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent education\nValid driver’s license\nAfter submitting your application, you must achieve a passing score on the online assessment to be considered for an interview. It is required that the assessment is completed without assistance.\nPreferred Education and Experience:\nAssociate’s degree or higher education\nFormal education and/or training related to process operations\nExperience working in an industrial environment\nPrevious military experience\nPhysical Requirements:\nWilling and able to work outside in inclement weather with or without accommodation\nWilling and able to work in compact and confined spaces with or without accommodation\nMust be willing and able to climb and work at heights, walk on high elevation grating and to walk up and down stairs with or without accommodation\nMotiva emphasizes safety in all phases of its business, therefore, with proper training, you must be willing and able to use safe lifting techniques to lift 50 pounds from the ground to waist level with or without accommodation\nMust be willing and able to work in self-contained breathing apparatus\nThis role is subject to a pre-hire physical abilities test.\nOther Requirements:\nThis role works a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.
