Motiva is wholly owned by Aramco, one of the world’s largest integrated energy and chemicals companies.\nPosition Overview:\nMotiva’s Chemicals & Distribution facility is looking to hire a Pump/Rotating Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Port Arthur. As a Pump/Rotating Equipment Mechanic, you will perform preventive and predictive maintenance on pumps, fans, and other mechanical equipment. Maintenance tasks will include troubleshooting equipment, installation/removal, repair, and laser alignments.\nThis is a Department of Transportation (DOT) regulated position, and is subject to drug and alcohol testing in compliance with DOT regulations.\nResponsibilities:\nPerform complete overhauls on process pumps and ensure proper documentation of the repair, including equipment condition history within SAP.\nInstall, align, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair the various types of pumps.\nInstall, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair, and overhaul various types of air-intake blowers, fan variable pitch assemblies and air cooler fans.\nPerform pump repair - including mechanical seal replacement.\nPerform turbine removal, installation, and preventive maintenance.\nCheck and adjust speed control governors on turbines.\nRemove and install gear boxes.\nRead and interpret mechanical drawings.\nDiagnose and apply results using a micrometer and other alignment tools for power-driven connections, such as laser alignment tools.\nPerform other general maintenance activities, including work with cranes, forklifts, and other lifting equipment.\nAdhere to safe work practices and permitting procedures.\nExperience and Qualifications:\nRequired Education and Experience:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent education\n3+ years of continuous and current industrial machinist, mechanic, or millwright experience OR must have an Associate’s degree and/or formal journey level certification in a mechanical field\nDemonstrated working proficiency with alignment tools\nValid driver’s license\nMust currently hold or be able to qualify to receive a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card at time of hire\nPhysical Requirements:\nWilling and able to work outside in inclement weather with or without accommodation\nWilling and able to work in compact and confined spaces with or without accommodation\nWilling and able to work at heights, walk on high elevation grating and to walk up and down stairs with or without accommodation\nMotiva emphasizes safety in all phases of its business, therefore, with proper training, you must be willing to use safe lifting techniques to lift 50 pounds from the ground to waist level with or without accommodation\nWilling and able to work in self-contained breathing apparatus\nThis role is subject to a pre-hire physical abilities test.\nOther Requirements:\nMust be willing and able to work overtime, holidays, nights, and weekends\nMust be willing and able to be on call and meet callout standards to respond to site responsibilities and emergencies\nMust support and comply with the company's drug free work environment, which will include random drug screenings\nMust support and comply with the company's harassment free work environment policy\nMust support and comply with the company's safety policies and initiatives\nMust support and comply with the company's diversity and inclusion work environment policies\nWe reserve the right to amend or withdraw Motiva jobs at any time, including prior to the closing date.
