Motiva is wholly owned by Aramco, one of the world’s largest integrated energy and chemicals companies.\nPosition Overview:\nWe are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Sr. Compliance Analyst to support and enhance our Corporate Compliance Program. Reporting to the Managing Counsel, Compliance, this role serves as a key contributor to compliance risk management, program analytics, compliance technology, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nThe Sr. Compliance Analyst leads compliance risk assessments, develops and maintains risk assessment methodologies, analyzes compliance data and trends, and translates findings into actionable insights that support informed decision-making. This role also supports compliance systems and controls, training and communications, program effectiveness reviews, and ongoing adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.\nSuccess in this role requires strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills, as well as the ability to independently manage complex projects and collaborate effectively across the organization. The ideal candidate can interpret regulatory requirements and compliance risks and translate them into practical processes, effective controls, and data-driven recommendations that strengthen the overall compliance framework.\nThis position is based at Motiva's corporate headquarters in Downtown Houston, Texas. Employees work onsite Monday through Thursday and follow a 9/80 schedule, providing every other Friday off.\nResponsibilities:\nLead and facilitate enterprise-wide compliance risk assessments, including risk identification, evaluation, scoring, prioritization, control assessment, and mitigation planning across business functions.\nDevelop, maintain, and enhance compliance risk assessment methodologies, risk scoring models, and risk-ranking frameworks to support informed decision making and effective resource allocation.\nAnalyze compliance risk data and trends to identify emerging risks, root causes, control gaps, and opportunities for mitigation or program improvement.\nPartner with business stakeholders to evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls, recommend remediation plans, and monitor mitigation activities through completion.\nDevelop and maintain compliance dashboards, risk assessment reports, heat maps, metrics, and executive-level presentations to provide visibility into compliance risks, trends, remediation activities, and program effectiveness.\nSupport risk-based compliance monitoring and evaluation of internal controls and regulatory requirements.\nSupport corporate compliance audits and investigations, including related data analysis, documentation, and reporting.\nTrack and report on compliance metrics, issues, and corrective actions.\nSupport the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of risk-based compliance training and awareness initiatives.\nServe as the functional lead for compliance technology and systems initiatives, including requirements development, configuration, testing, data validation, implementation, reporting, and continuous improvement.\nMaintain accurate and appropriate documentation and records supporting compliance activities, audits, investigations, risk assessments, and regulatory requirements.\nPartner cross-functionally with Legal, HR, Finance, Internal Audit, Operations, and other stakeholders to support compliance objectives and initiatives.\nUtilize compliance management systems and data analytics tools to monitor compliance activities, evaluate trends, and identify opportunities for program improvement.\nMonitor relevant legal and regulatory developments and assist in evaluating their potential impact on the organization.\nPerform additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned.\nExperience and Qualifications:\nRequired Education and Experience:\nBachelor’s degree required.\n5 or more years of experience in compliance, audit, legal, risk management, or related discipline.\nDemonstrated experience designing, conducting, or facilitating compliance or enterprise risk assessments, including risk identification, evaluation, scoring, prioritization, control assessment, and mitigation planning.\nExperience developing and applying quantitative and qualitative risk assessment methodologies, risk scoring models, and risk-ranking frameworks. \nStrong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, compliance best practices, and risk management principles.\nAdvanced analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex information and develop practical, risk-based recommendations.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex compliance and risk matters clearly to senior leadership.\nExperience utilizing data analytics and visualization tools to evaluate risk trends and develop dashboards, heat maps, key risk indicators (KRIs), and compliance metrics.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and experience with compliance, risk management, or governance platforms.\nHigh attention to detail and accuracy.\nAbility to independently manage multiple complex projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while working collaboratively across functions.\nPreferred Education and Experience:\nExperience in a regulated industry (e.g., energy, financial services, healthcare, insurance, or technology). \nExperience with compliance program assessments, risk and control assessments, or control assurance.\nExperience with compliance case management, governance, risk management, reporting, data analytics, or data visualization platforms.\nExperience translating compliance or risk analytics into executive-level reporting and presentations.\nKnowledge of international trade compliance regulations, including but not limited to, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and other applicable laws and regulations.\nExperience with trade compliance software and denied party screening tools.\nFamiliarity with global supply chain operations, particularly in regulated industries.\nFamiliarity with data privacy laws and compliance requirements, such as GDPR, CCPA, and
