Dispatch armed response vehicles and EMS or SAPS when necessary. Download any footage need for the prosecution of perpetrators and complete any required statements. Also be advised that the position is based in Stellenbosch and is full-time and candidate must have their own transport.\nAttributes\nThe controller should possess excellent attention to detail, strong observational skills, vigilant individual and the ability to make quick and informed decisions and work well under pressure. Additionally, experience with Eocortex & Axis, would be beneficial for this role.\nKey Responsibilities:\n1. Emergency Response:\nContact emergency or relevant emergency providers as needed.\nCoordinate with security personnel and emergency responders during incidents.\n2. Incident Response:\nRespond promptly to security incidents by reacting to the situation and taking appropriate action.\nCoordinate with security personnel and responders to address potential threats or breaches.\nMaintain detailed incident logs and provide accurate and timely reports to the appropriate authorities.\n3. System Maintenance:\nConduct regular checks on surveillance equipment, alarm systems, and monitoring systems to ensure proper functionality.\nReport any malfunctions, faults, or irregularities to the designated technical support team and Control Centre manager.\n4. Documentation:\nMaintain accurate records of surveillance activities, incidents, and responses.\nGenerate detailed reports for management, summarizing daily activities and incidents.\n5. Surveillance Monitoring\nOperate and monitor CCTV systems, including Exocortex & Axis to ensure the continuous observation of designated areas.\nDetect and analyze suspicious activities or security breaches through surveillance cameras.\nRequirements:\nCandidate must reside either in the Somerset-West, Strand or in the Stellenbosch area.\nCandidate must be able to effectively communicate in Afrikaans and English.\nWorking hours will be 17h00 to 05h00.\nCandidate must have sober habits.\nOn the job requirements:\nCandidate must possess excellent communication abilities. The candidate must be able to effectively communicate with security personnel, law enforcement and other relevant parties during stressful and intense situations. The candidate must be able to remain clear-headed during heated moments and must be able to make split second decisions.\nThe Candidate must be able to ensure compliance with the relevant laws, regulations and company policies related to surveillance activities.
