Be part of the journey.\nRole Overview and Responsibilities\nReporting to the Site General Manager, as theHead of Engineering, you'll lead our Design Engineering and Test Engineering functions, driving innovation, technical excellence and the successful delivery of new products and customer solutions. Working closely with Commercial, Operations and Business Leadership teams, you'll shape technology roadmaps, optimise product development processes and ensure engineering resources are aligned to strategic business priorities.\nKey responsibilities include:\nProvide strategic leadership, coaching, mentoring and developing talent, and building and retaining high-performing teams.\nLead the successful delivery of projects from concept through to production, driving robust project management disciplines, and ensuring resources are effectively structured and deployed.\nDevelop and execute technology and product development roadmaps, managing departmental budgets and capital expenditure.\nEnsure compliance with all relevant industry and quality standards, including IRIS, VG, AS9100, ISO 9001, APQP and PPAP, while championing best practice within the New Product Development (NPD) process.\nEstablish and continuously improve processes, systems and methodologies and champion a culture of innovation.\nOversee engineering governance, including configuration management, design controls and change management processes.\nBuild strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, industry bodies and external partners, acting as a senior technical authority on complex enquiries and quality matters.\nEstablish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on status and forecasts to the site and wider group leadership team.\nCollaborate cross-functionally to ensure priorities remain aligned.\nLead by example and ensure the team display the right behaviours in prioritising health and safety.\nQualifications, Skills and Attributes\nWhat We're Looking For:\nA Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: Electronics/ Engineering/ Materials Science/ Engineering Science/ Physics, or another engineering discipline. \nPractical experience in managing NPD processes within one or more of the following markets, defence, aerospace, mass transportation, medical, industrial alternative energy or automotive. \nExcellent interpersonal and presentation skills.\nMotivated by results i.e strives to exceed expectations.\nDemonstrate strong leadership, analytical, influencing and decision making skills. \nExcellent planning, organisation and communication skills.\nWhat We Offer:\nEnhanced pension contributions\nHealthcare cashback plan\nEmployee assistance programme\nFree Fruit Tuesdays \nSharesave\nIncentive plan\nFinancial wellbeing benefit\nDiscounted online and high street shopping and lifestyle vouchers\nCycle to Work Scheme\nDiscounted RAC membership\nDiscounted Gym membership \nSpecsavers vouchers\n183.75 hours annual leave plus bank holidays\nA supportive and friendly working environment with a focus on wellbeing and sustainability\nTT Electronics are committed to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and actively encourage applications from under-represented groups.\nOur Recruitment Process\nFormal Interviews will be held on site and include a tour of the facility.\nPlease be aware that many roles at TT Electronics are subject to both security and export control restrictions which means that limitations relating to nationality may apply.
